8th National Inter- Secondary School Competition.

For Qur'an, Quiz & Poetry slated for Sunday 3rd March, 2024. at the Prestigious FBC Amphitheater 9:00am. The competition cares to empower muslim students on the field of Quranic Recitation, General Knowledge on Islam and Islamic Poetry which are major tools in bringing muslim students close to their deen. The initiative also encourage muslim students in various schools in practicing their deen within their school.
Over 50 schools will be participating an Islamic battle for supremacy. Three category, three trophy who will be the winners come and witness.

The entrance is free and you all are highly invited.

On Tuesday 6th February 2024 she was tested by Allah when she was involved in a critical accident that lead to major injury..

The Management of the Public Speaking for Muslimah, (MYDO) is sad to inform the general public that one of their participants, Fatima Sow, encountered a terrible accident on Tuesday's night.

Our sister was rushed to the Connaught Hospital due to her condition, she was later reffered to LIFE CARE Hospital, situated at Lumley, where she is currently admitted.

She is in critical situation, we pray for ALLAH's mercies and interventions. May Allah grant her shiffaa and speedy recovery. Aameen Ya Raab.

Currently, they are running different types of test and scan on her. She will be undergoing a surgery after. In Shaa Allah.

As a Management, we shall be embarking on a FUNDRAISING DRIVE in order to help foot the Bills for the operation. In Shaa Allah.

As we have ten days (10) to go for the grand event (In Shaa Allah), scheduled to take place at the New City Hall on Sunday, 18th February, 2024. We therefore, call on the general public to support us in these endeavours. In Shaa Allah.

This is a huge test from Allah and Allah will take full control.

With every twist and turn, each enigma faced, Umar's brilliance and wit left all amazed. Through the online challenge, he soared high, A victor in the riddles, reaching the sky.

In the Faculty of Science, his knowledge profound, Umar stood tall, conquering each challenge sound. Hope Of UBA celebrates this triumph sweet, For Umar Sesay, the champion we greet.

May his mind continue to sparkle and gleam, A beacon of inspiration in the academic dream. Congratulations to Umar, the riddle master, In the Hope Of UBA, he's the first session's disaster!

Ibn 'Abbaas (may Allah be pleased with him and his father) reported that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Every image-maker will be in the Fire, and for every image that he made a soul will be created for him, which will be punished in the Fire."
Ibn 'Abbaas said: "If you must do that, make pictures of trees and other inanimate objects." (Reported by Muslim, 3/1871)

Why is it Haram to Say Happy New Year.

“New Years” The Festival Of Disbelievers Not Muslims.

Allāh says in Qur'ān: والذين لا يشهدون الزور

“And those who do not witness falsehood..” • [al-Qur'ān 25:72]

Mujāhid and other than him from the Salaf said that falsehood (Zoor) refers to the festivals of disbelievers.

قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم : من تشبه بقوم فهو منهم.

The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said: “Whoever imitates a nation then he is from amongst them.”

قال عمر بن الخطاب رضي الله عنه : اجتنبوا أعداء الله في عيدهم.

‘Umar b. al-Khaṭṭāb رضي الله عنه said: “Avoid the enemies of Allāh during their festivals.” and in one narration with addition “.. for the Wrath of Allāh descends upon them during it.”

قال عبدالله بن عمرو رضي الله عنه : من مر ببلاد الاعاجم فصنع نيروزهم و مهرجانهم و تشبه بهم حتى يموت و هو كذلك حشر معهم يوم القيامة.

‘Abdullāh b. ‘Amr رضي الله عنه said: “Whoever settles in the land of the non-Arabs and celebrates their new year and festival and imitates them until he dies while he is in that state, will be gathered with them on the Day of Resurrection.”

Ibn Taymīyyāh said: “Muslims should not celebrate any festival of the disbelievers.”

‎Shaykh-ul-Islām Ibn Taymiyyah Raḥimahullāh said:

‎“And whosoever inclines towards religious festivals of polythiests and of Jews and Christians then it is a MUST that the sanctity of Islamic 'Eīd will DIMINISH from his heart.”
