EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION
“Invest in the first years, and you strengthen a lifetime. Early childhood education isn’t childcare-it’s nation-building.”
For too long, early childhood education has been seen as a woman’s space. But as one of the few male advocates standing on this ground-in Sierra Leone and across the world-I know that the work of shaping young minds knows no gender.
I have witnessed the power of investing in our youngest citizens. When government and partners put resources into early learning, they are not just building schools; they are breaking cycles of poverty, illiteracy, and inequality.
To the men out there: step in, speak up, and stand with us. The child who learns to trust, share, and question at age four does not become a statistic-they become a leader. Let’s raise them together.

A Call for Hope: Give Alie a Second Chance at Life (save life)
Alie Mansaray is only twelve years old -a bright and gentle boy whose life should be filled with learning, laughter, and dreams for the future. Instead, for the past two years, Alie has been courageously battling multiple life-threatening conditions: chronic heart disease, chronic liver disease, and a hernia.
What first appeared to be a minor illness soon turned into a painful and relentless struggle. While others might have overlooked the early signs, Alie’s mother did not. With unwavering love and determination, she has taken him to every hospital she could afford, desperately searching for answers and hope. Each visit has brought emotional and financial strain, yet she has never given up.
Tragically, Alie lost his father two years ago — around the same time his health began to decline. Since then, his mother has carried the burden alone, fighting not just for survival, but for her son’s life. Today, that strength is fading. Exhausted, overwhelmed, and financially drained, she is now on the brink of losing hope.
Alie has not been able to attend school for a long time. Once a pupil of Government Model School, he now watches from the sidelines as his classmates continue their education. Despite everything, his friends have not forgotten him — they visit often, offering prayers, comfort, and companionship. Their presence is a reminder that Alie is loved, that he matters, and that his life has value.
But love and prayers alone are not enough.
Alie urgently needs advanced medical care, specialized treatment, and consistent support -care that is far beyond what his mother can afford. Without immediate intervention, his condition will continue to worsen.
This is where you come in.
Your support can give Alie a fighting chance-a chance to return to school, to play with his friends again, and to live the life every child deserves. No contribution is too small. Every donation brings him one step closer to recovery, to hope, and to a future that right now feels out of reach.
Let us come together to save a life. Let us give Alie a second chance.
Donate today. Share his story. Be the reason Alie smiles again. For more +23277011030/074103595 Salone Gossip ReloadedUNICEF Sierra Leone

Children :Why is it that 80% of parents in the U.S. report feeling overwhelmed by daily tantrums while in Japan children seem to posses an almost supernatural level of emotional regulations and obedience?

I won’t even greet anybody 😡. I'm a nursery school teacher. Please, parents, stop putting plenty of pepper in your children's food, I don't like it. 😒 🌶️ 😜

I came across this post by my brother, Ishmeal Alfred Charles, and it’s very important and timely, especially as schools prepare to issue second-term report cards to parents. I posted something similar on my TikTok a week ago, encouraging parents to do whatever they can to prevent their children from repeating a class. The rich are already using their influence and resources to invest in their children’s education. Have you noticed how the NPSE, WASSCE, and other national exams are being conducted? If low-income families are also ready to invest in their children’s future, they should go ahead-especially in building a strong foundation.

Why should a minister be paid more than a teacher with identical qualifications -isn't that an injustice to educators?
