Vacancy Announcement
Job Title: Principal
Type of Appointment: Contract
Tenure: 5 (Five) years renewable by mutual consent for a further final 5 (Five) year period.
Main Purpose of Job:
The Principal shall be a person of high academic and administrative distinction and holder of a Doctorate Degree from a recognised University with proven managerial skills and ability to mobilize and generate resources for the College.
The successful candidate shall be appointed by the Board of Governors based on recommendation of a Search Committee under such terms and conditions as the board may determine.
Suitable candidates not above the age of 60 years are invited to apply
The Principal shall be the chief academic and administrative Head of the College answerably directly to the Board of Governors.
Key duties include but not limited to the following:
(a) Provide Leadership and guidance in the planning and organisational activities of the College.
(b) Takes all steps necessary to enhance the academic aspects of the courses undertaken at the College.
(c) Serves as the Vote Controller of the College.
(d) Cooperates with the Tertiary Education Commission (TEC) on all matters pertaining to that Commission’s responsibility to/for the College.
(e) Presents annual reports on academic and administrative matters to the Annual Meeting of the Board of Governors.
(f) Ensures that the teachings provided in the Institution and in its extramural activities, adequate expression is given to the tenets of each of the participating Churches.
(g) Engages and dismisses Members of Staff other than those appointed by the Board subject to such directions as the Board may give.
(h) Performs all other functions that may be assigned by the Board and which fall within the purview of this position.

The successful candidate shall be appointed by the Board of Governors based on recommendation of a Search Committee under such terms and conditions as the board may determine.
Suitable candidates not below the age of 55 years and not above the age of 60 years are invited to apply
The Vice Principal shall be the Key Assistant to the Principal who is the chief academic and administrative Head of the College answerably directly to the Principal/Board of Governors.
Key duties include but not limited to the following:
(a) Is directly responsible for the academic activities of the College.
(b) Assist the Principal in the carrying out of his/her duties in every way possible.
(c) Assumes responsibilities for such matters as the Principal shall delegate to him/her subject to any specific instructions from the Board.
(d) Acts as Principal during the absence of the incumbent.
(e) Performs all other functions as may be assigned him/her and which fall within the purview of this position.
