Mrs. Adama Jalloh Memorial Scholarship

Congratulations to the ten recipients of the Mrs. Adama Jalloh Memorial Scholarship. Each student received full tuition and fees, plus a stipend. A big thank you to the Jalloh family for funding this initiative. Of the seven children of Mrs. Jalloh, three are alumni of the Department: Pastor Dr. Alpha O. Jalloh, Professor Alusine Jalloh, and Mr. Alhassan Jalloh. God bless us all!

Mrs. Adama Jalloh was born on Jenkins Street in the East End of Freetown. She attended Amaria Primary School, St. Anne's Primary School, and St. Joseph's Secondary School. She first worked as a clerk typist at the Sierra Leone Railway. She later joined the Sierra Leone Police as a civilian employee in the Accounting and Payroll Department. In the mid-1980s, Mrs. Jalloh retired at the rank of Inspector after more than three decades of service. She passed away, aged eighty-seven, in September 2021 and was buried in the United States of America.
