PRESIDENT OF MACOSA Tamba Mattia TO HOST THE 1-DAY PUBLIC SPEAKING MASTERCLASS.

The Anti-Glossophobia Academy, in partnership with the Mass Communication Students’ Association (MACOSA), is pleased to announce that Edward Tamba Mattia, President of MACOSA, will serve as one of the hosts of the 1-Day Public Speaking Masterclass scheduled for Saturday, 6th June 2026, at 9:00 AM in the FBC Tunde Cole Building.
A passionate communicator and emerging public relations professional, Edward Tamba Mattia is currently pursuing a degree in Public Relations and Marketing Communication at Fourah Bay College, University of Sierra Leone. Through his leadership as President of MACOSA, he has championed student engagement, advocacy, and the promotion of effective communication among young people.

Recognized for his confidence, eloquence, and ability to connect with diverse audiences, Mr. Mattia has established himself as one of the promising voices within the communication community. His experience in student leadership, public relations, event coordination, and strategic communication reflects the very values this Masterclass seeks to promote.

That is what the early data from my forthcoming Public Speaking Masterclass registration at Fourah Bay College is revealing.

Out of 113 responses received so far, 70.8% of participants say they struggle with Glossophobia the fear of public speaking.

Behind that figure is a deeper reality: brilliant ideas, strong opinions, and untapped potential silenced not by lack of knowledge, but by lack of confidence to express it aloud.
