We kicked off the Leadership and Public Speaking Masterclass with a compelling session on "𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐅𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐏𝐮𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐜 𝐒𝐩𝐞𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠", let by our eloquent instructor, 𝐀𝐛𝐮 𝐁𝐚𝐤𝐚𝐚𝐫𝐫 𝐅𝐨𝐦𝐛𝐚 𝐒𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐲 𝐄𝐬𝐪. His insights set the stage for what promises to be an enlightening experience.

FOURAH BAY COLLEGE WINS THE 2025 PHILIP C. JESSUP INTERNATIONAL LAW MOOT COURT NATIONAL ROUNDS!

On the 30th of January 2025, the Faculty of Law, F.B.C, competed in the aforesaid Moot Court Competition against Unimak and IMATT College at the Multipurpose Hall, F.B.C.

As God and effective preparation would have it, the team won the BEST MEMORIAL AWARD, our Lead-Agent, Miss Dolcie Kailie, won the BEST ORALIST AWARD and to cap it off, the team emerged as NATIONAL CHAMPIONS by winning both of its rounds against IMATT College and UNIMAK as Applicant and Respondent, respectively.

The team was composed of the following participants:

1. Dolcie M. Kailie - LLB4
2. Esther W. Marrah - LLB4
3. Abraham Lappia - LLB2

Despaul Black ESQ was the team’s Lead Coordinator and Coach, assisted by Anthony Belmore.

The team will represent Sierra Leone in this year's White and Case International Rounds in Washington D.C., USA.

We respectfully thank the Dean, Faculty of Law, Dr. Binneh-Kamara, Dr. Saffa Abdulai, Head of Department, Faculty of Law, and all law students for supporting the team all the way through.
