Professor Matiasko was a very important supporter of the idea of cooperation of our SmartSoc consortium in time of his dean's office. R.I.P.

On Wednesday, 10 May 2023, a prominent expert in the field of information and communication technologies, long-time Dean of the Faculty of Management Science and Informatics, Vice Rector for Information Systems of the University of Žilina, Professor Karol Matiaško, died at the age of 70.

The project consortium met on 30 and 31 August 2022 in Budapest to evaluate all project activities and the project outputs. This was the final project meeting. Some memories from our one and only workshop in Valencia 😌

Blended mobilities as the main SmartSoc project activities and their structure were presented by Mr Peter Márton, the SmartSoc project manager, in the frame of the FOI International Days 2022 (26.-27.05.2022, Varazdin, Croatia, FOI International).
We believe we are able to continue with the blended mobilities in the future in cooperation with our current and new partners in the form of Blended Intensive Programmes of the Erasmus+ programme.

The third multiplier event took place in Žilina, Slovakia (Fakulta riadenia a informatiky) on 24 and 25 May 2022. More than 100 secondary school students got familiar with "Intelligent LED Lights for Smart City" - the entrepreneurial case developed in 2020. The students learned about the business model canvas for the selected case study and created their own electronic device based on the case study prototype.

Last week we ended our annual blended mobility. The students worked in international teams on case studies for 3 months, and on Friday, they presented their business plans.

All the presented ideas had the perspective to be implemented in real conditions and can bring added value to our lives. We would like to thank all lecturers, supervisors and students for their participation in the last project activity, and we are delighted that we finally could organise the workshop in person. ❤️

The multiplier event of the SmartSoc project started today at Teleco Upv. Our project manager Peter Marton informed the participants about our project and its activities. After that, participants took part in exciting workshops on various topics such as electronic music, mobile physics, antennas, virtual reality, etc. This event continues for the next two days. We are looking forward to the next participants.
