Diana postúpila z Estónska do Fínska
“Ako som sa dostala do Fínska? Zhrniem môj príbeh v skratke. V apríli sme sa ako študentská spoločnosť Challenge T zúčastnili veľtrhu študentských spoločností, kde sme získali 3 ocenenia; 1.miesto – najlepšia marketingová prezentácia, 2. miesto – najlepší manažérsky tím a boli sme vyhlásení za TOP študentskú spoločnosť na Slovensku pre rok 2013/2014 a postúpili sme na veľtrh do Tallinnu, Estónsko.
Koncom júla som sa teda mojím tímom zúčastnila Európskeho pohára – TOP študentská spoločnosť roka. Bola to pre nás úžasná skúsenosť. Veľtrh prebiehal len tri dni ale odniesli sme si odtiaľ veľa. Spoznali sme ľudí z rôznych kútov Európy, zistili sme v čom sme dobrí ale aj na čom treba ešte popracovať. Bohužiaľ, konkurencia bola veľká a tak sme ako tím nezískali žiadne ocenenie. Veľtrh mal tri časti; prezentácia na javisku, prezentácia v stánku a panel interview. Do kategórie “panel interview” bol za krajinu nominovaný jeden súťažiaci. Ja som sa tejto kategórie zúčastnila a postúpila som na konferenciu do Fínska. O čom to vlastne bolo? Porota nám dávala otázky ako by sme, ako úspešní lídri, riešili rôzne situácie. Vybrali 15 najlepších lídrov a ja som bola jedným z nich, čo ma neskutočne potešilo. V Septembri som sa zúčastnila konferencie vo Fínsku. V Helsinkách som strávila päť dní, no čo mi týchto päť dní dalo sa nedá ani opísať. Hneď prvý večer sme mali spoločné aktivity, aby sme sa lepšie spoznali. Veľmi ma prekvapilo, akí boli títo ľudia priateľskí, zhovorčiví a milí. Išla som tam úplne sama, nikoho som nepoznala. Vďaka ním všetkým, som nemala pocit, že ich nepoznám lebo boli tak veľmi super Každý deň sme mali prezentácie s úspešnými podnikateľmi z Fínska. Vysvetlili nám ako začali, ako sa ich podnik rozvíjal, čomu odolávali, v čom boli dobrí. Motivovali nás a inšpirovali nás. To, že boli úspešní, neznamená, že všetci boli starší skúsení páni alebo staršie skúsené dámy. Podnikateľ, ktorý organizoval celé toto stretnutie mal 19 rokov. Mikko vlastní viaceré spoločnosti a nie len vo Fínsku. Práve toto ma motivovalo asi najviac, že veľa z nich boli mladí úspešní ľudia, ktorí začínali z ničoho a dosiahli veľa. Som veľmi rada, že som mala túto príležitosť zúčastniť sa konferencie, pretoží takých ľudí, ako som stretla tam, v bežnom živote veľmi nestretnem a teším san a ďalšiu konferenciu s nimi. A musím uznať, že Helsinki sú naozaj krásne.
Na záver by som chcel poďakovať pánovi Čajkovi, vďaka ktorému som navštívila dva severné štáty počas tohto leta. Pán Čajko bol skvelým učiteľom, naučil nás a ukázal nám ako to funguje vo svete podnikania. Aplikovaná ekonómia je praktický predmet, pri ktorom som zistila, čo v živote chcem určite robiť popri zamestnaní – podnikať. “
Diana visited Finland
“How did I manage to visit Finland? I will sum up my story. In April, our student company Challenge T attended the Trade Fair of student companies and we got 3 awards; 1.place – The best marketing presentation, 2. Place – The best team and as the third one we were nominated as the best student company of Slovakia for 2013/2014 and we had a chance to attend the Trade Fair in Tallinn, Estonia. At the end of July, my team and I attended the Europe competition –The company of the year. It was a great experience. The trade was held for three days but memories and experiences were uncountable. We got to meet people from different parts of Europe, we found out our strengths but weaknesses as well. Unfortunately, the competition was strong and as a team we did not manage to win any award. The Trade Fair consisted of three parts; stage presentation, exhibition stand and panel interview. One competitor from each country was nominated to compete in panel interview. I was the one for Slovakia and I succeeded. The price was a chance to visit conference in Finland. What was the conference about? The jury asked us various questions regarding leadership; how would we solve different problems, how would we manage people. Finally, they chose 15 best leaders and I was one of them. I have been thrilled about it.
In September I attended that conference in Helsinki. I spent five days there, but the memories, people and experiences are awesome. In the very first evening we had some activities so we would get to know each other. I was surprised how nice, polite, outgoing and friend those people are. I travelled all by myself, I did not know anyone but I did not have that feeling that I do not know anyone already after first dinner. People were just awesome. Every day we had interesting presentations with successful entrepreneurs from all over Finland. Those people shared their business stories with us, told us about their failures but successes as well. They motivated us and inspired us. Saying they were successful does not mean they were all older experienced entrepreneurs. The entrepreneur who organized the whole event was only 19 years old. Mikko owns I think three successful companies and trades globally. The fact that they were my peers inspired me the most. If I imagine I can do the same and be the same is unbelievable and you may think not possible, but be sure that it is possible if you work hard. I am very grateful I could visit the conference, because the people I met over there, we do not usually meet in common life and I am looking forward to next conference with them. Moreover, I have to say Helsinki is a pretty city.
In the end I would like to say a huge Thank you to Mr. Čajko because of whom I visited two northern countries this summer. Mr. Čajko has been a great inspiring teacher who taught us and showed us how it works in the world of business. Applied Economics is a great lesson where I found out what I would like to do in my life – own a business.”
