Dear students and professors,
We are glad to announce the extension of the application submission for the upcoming 12th ASECU Youth International Conference and Summer School.

Given numerous requests of ASECU member universities you can now submit your application until 20th of March.

We would also like to inform you that the organizing committee managed to find some more rooms for accommodation so if you have more participants they are welcome.

The 4th Tsekouras Prize for Young Economists was announced in 2022. The Scientific committee was asked to nominate the best papers among the presented papers at the 10th ASECU Youth International Conference & Summer School on the topic "BUILD A SUSTAINABLE FUTURE IN SEECs AND BLACK SEA REGION"

The Conference was organized by the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, "Alexandru Ioan Cuza" University of Iasi, Romania .and it took place in September 23-25, 2021in Iasi, Romania.

Because of the Covid pandemic reasons, also in this year, the Youth Conference was hosted in a platform with the participation of students and Professors from the Universities-members of the Youth Association as well as from other Universities from the area.

According the decision of the Scientific committee of the Youth Conference, the nominated papers where the following:

📑 The youth statement that will be written during the conference, will be collated and crafted into a global youth statement which is *formally recognized* and *submitted* to policy makers during the *UN Climate Negotiations*.

Given numerous requests of ASECU member universities we are glad to announce the prolongation of the application submission to the 11th ASECU Youth International Conference and Summer School.

Therefore the updated deadlines & dates are as follows:

🟢 10 June – applications + paper abstracts of participants
🟢 30 June – notification of abstracts acceptance/rejection.
🟢 5 August – payment for the summer school.

🟢 20 August – notification of final papers acceptance.

🟢 20 August – final paper submission.

🟢 04-10 September – summer school dates.

🟢 08 September – General Meeting of the acting ASECU Youth Board and ASECU Youth Board elections.

We are pleased to announce the Call for Papers for the 11th AYIC&SS “Role of Global Economics and Management in the Process of Transforming to the Sustainable Development”.

Dear Colleagues! Dear friends!
The year ends in 2021. It has been a challenging year for the whole world, however, it has been very fruitful for our professional community of ASECU and ASECU Youth members. With our joint efforts we have organized a number of landmark and highly successful events. And it could not be otherwise, because in 2021 we celebrated two anniversaries at once ‒ the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the Association of Economic Universities of South and Eastern Europe and the Black Sea Region and the 10th anniversary of the creation of its youth wing ‒ The Students' Association of Economic Universities of South and Eastern Europe and the Black Sea Region (ASECU Youth).
These two important anniversaries are confirmation of the great achievements of our community and a solid foundation for its further development.
Just listing the main achievements of ASECU and ASECU Youth in the year to end will take much time, you can learn about all of them on the website.
I will mention only two of the most significant events:
This is a triple event organized at the highest level by our colleagues from the Faculty of Economics, University of Belgrade. On 13-14 September 2021, in Belgrade, we solemnly celebrated the 25th anniversary of the establishment of ASECU, held an extraordinary General Assembly of the Association, at which the historic decision was made to integrate ASECU Youth as a semi-autonomous union into ASECU and held the 17th International Conference of ASECU “Post COVID19 in SEE and Black Sea Region - Responses towards SDGs ".
The second event is the anniversary of ASECU Youth and the 10th ASECU Youth International Conference and Summer School "Build a Sustainable Future in SEECs and Black Sea Region" organized by the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, "Alexandru Ioan Cuza "University of Iasi, Romania.
We look back with gratitude at the past year and look forward to the coming year of 2022! Next year we have already planned and are getting prepared to the 18th International Conference of ASECU at the University of Korce, Albania, and the 11th ASECU Youth International Conference and Summer School at the Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra, Slovakia. But we are sure that there will be much more new meetings and projects.
On behalf of the Board of the Association of Economic Universities of South and Eastern Europe and the Black Sea Region, I would like to wish you a Happy New Year! May there be peace, health and prosperity in every home! And may this coming year be marked by new milestones of our friendship and cooperation in the ASECU and ASECU Youth family!

ASECU CO-ORGANIZES THE CONFERENCE IN MAY 2022 IN BELGRADE, SERBIA

ASECU is co-organizing the 13th SCF International Conference on “Contemporary Economic Policy and European Union Accession Process”.
The Conference is planned for 23-24 May 2022 and will be hosted by the University of Belgrade, Faculty of Economics in Belgrade, Serbia.
