We have published a paper in the prestigious journal Robotics and Computer-Integrated Manufacturing that addresses advanced computer vision techniques based on Neural Radiance Fields (NeRFs) in robotic machinery and intelligent factories. The paper paves the way for further advancements in the domain of completely autonomous smart factories of the future, seamlessly controlled by sophisticated computer vision techniques. This research is the result of a strong collaboration between IISLAB (TUKE), the Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology, and Lviv Polytechnic National University.

We proposed the parametric Bayesian optimizer for the optimisation of HW resources in mobile edge computing network. We investigated both, the economic impacts and performance improvement of the proposed model. The joint collaboration with King's College London (prof. Mischa Dohler, Weiqiang Guo) and Lviv Polytechnic National University (Dr. Taras Maksymyuk) was published in IEEE Access journal. Please, check our latest research here:
Cost-Effective Resource Allocation for Multitier Mobile Edge Computing in 5G Mobile Networks
Mobile edge computing (MEC) is currently one of the key technologies that can facilitate the evolution of the future digitized economy. MEC can provide ubiquitous computational capabilities through the multitier deployment of servers to ensure lower latencies and tighter integration with 5G, the Int...

Pracovníci IISLAB-u pod vedením doc. Ing. Juraja Gazdu, PhD. v medzinárodnej spolupráci s King's College London (Veľká Británia), Lviv Polytechnic University (Ukrajina) a Univerzitou Pavla Jozefa Šafárika (UPJŠ) publikovali príspevok v prestížnom vedeckom časopise IEEE Communications Magazine s impact factorom IF = 11,1. Štúdia diskutuje možnosti využitia technológie blockchain a pokročilých metód umelej inteligencie na báze neurónových sietí v nastupujúcich komunikačných sieťach 5G, resp. 6G. Časopis IEEE Communications Magazine patrí dlhodobo medzi svetovo-uznávané a rešpektované a svoje práce v ňom publikujú vývojové tímy spoločností ako napr. Ericsson, Nokia Networks, Google ako aj najlepšie svetové univerzity.

These days, IISLAB is visiting King's College London, Department of Informatics. We had very inspiring discussion with prof. Mischa Dohler regarding joint research, addressing the issues of blockchain, data mining and IoT. Prof. Mischa Dohler is a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering, Fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts (RSA) and a Distinguished Member of Harvard Square Leaders Excellence. He is Professor in Wireless Communications at King's College London, where he directs the Centre for Telecommunications Research. We believe that IISLAB jointly with prof. Dohler's team can make nice contributions in the given areas in the future.
