🐈 Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a common feline endocrine disease. Developments in therapy mean there are now more options for treatment, including various types of insulin and novel oral medications. Use of continuous glucose monitoring devices has increased, providing more detailed information on affected cats. Selecting the appropriate treatment for DM, monitoring the cat’s response and treating complications can present challenges, but these patients are nonetheless rewarding cases to manage for clinicians.

Cat Care Club in collaboration with Hill´s Pet Nutrition CZ invite you to an online event - the Hill's Veterinary Oncology Global Symposium, which will take place next Monday and Tuesday, on 25th and 26th of September 2023, from 9AM to 6PM. You can follow the lectures by registering using the registration link below in the newsletter (first blue button "REGISTRUJTE SE" in the newsletter below). At the same time, by registering for the "Veterinární akademie" (Veterinary Academy, click on the second blue button "REGISTRUJTE SE" in the newsletter below) you will get access to a lot of useful educational content in Czech and English, including webinars and downloadable pdf publications, free of charge. The only disadvantage for english speakers is the default czech language of the Veterinary academy website, but we believe that troubles caused by translation of the few terms will be outweighed benefits associated with learning experience gained.
