Pochopenie komplexnosti dizajnérskej tvorby, s dôrazom na kreatívne postupy a pochopenie materiálových a technologických limitov je cieľom bakalárskeho štúdia v ateliéri. Vo vyšších ročníkoch sa kladie dôraz na komplexný prístup k návrhárskemu procesu, ako je analýza problému, návrh konceptu, finálne spracovanie podporené vizuálnou a textovou prezentáciou. Študenti obvykle riešia dve témy v priebehu semestra, ktoré sa spresňujú po vzájomnej diskusii s ohľadom na ich individuálnu vyspelosť. Koncepcia ateliéru v magisterskom stupni štúdia reflektuje chápanie dizajnu v kontexte súčasnej kontroverznej polemiky o ďalšom vývoji globálnej postindustriálnej spoločnosti. Študenti sú provokovaní k širšiemu chápaniu dizajnu a ku ktorému pohľadu na následky konzumu materiálnych produktov vo vzťahu k ekológii a skutočným potrebám človeka. Riešenie tematických problémov by malo zdôrazniť individualitu človeka, vypovedať o autorovi a jeho reflexii súčasnosti s dôrazom na experiment, senzibilitu a sémantickú výpoveď. Vzniknuté návrhy môžu byť reprodukovateľné tak v sériovej priemyselnej výrobe, ako aj v umeleckom remesle, s možnosťou presahu do konceptuálneho poňatia alebo solitéru.

Understanding the complexity of designer work, with an emphasis on creative processes and understanding of material and technological limits is the target of the Bachelor's degree at studio. In higher grades, the emphasis is on a holistic approach to the design process, such as problem analysis, design concept, final processing supported by visual and textual presentation. Students usually deal with two topics during the semester, which sets out after mutual discussion with respect to their individual maturity. Concept studio in magister level study reflects the understanding of design in the context of the current controversy on the further development of the global post-industrial society. Students are provoked to a broader understanding of design looking at the effects of consumption of material products with respect to the ecology and the real needs of people. Solving thematic issues should emphasize the individuality of man, telling about the author and his reflection of the present with an emphasis on the experiment, the sensitivity of a semantic statement. The resulting designs can then be reproducible in serial manufacturing, as well as arts and crafts, with overlap in the conceptual idea or solitaire.
