If morality, honesty and decency grew on trees, I would plant an orchard and let people come and pick it for free.

SAD AWAKENING
She did not realise how fragile his big frame was.
She did not realise why he needed to be the boss.
She did not realise, for him, she was just too good.
She did not realise his mind was so arrogant and crude.
She did not realise his tongue was filthy and caustic.
She did not realise his slyness was making her sick.
She did not realise the extent of his harm.
She did not realise his need for cheap charm.
She did not realise the cruelty of his actions.
She did not realise the perverseness of his passions.
She did not realise the sophistication of his deceptions.
She did not realise the depth of his secret connections.
She did not realise he slowly sucked her energy dry.
She did not realise he cared nothing when she cried.
She did not realise that those who cheat once will cheat again.
She did not realise that it was just an ego game.
She did not realise but now all is crystal clear.
She did not realise when it was time to disappear.
Enough lies, enough harm.
Please realise that now!

PUZZLE
Sitting over the puzzle of my life
Making the picture piece by piece
Trying to fit them all in one frame
However, in vain
I come across pieces which don’t fit.
They must be here by accident.
I am of two minds about what to do with them
Keep them or throw them away?
I am puzzled over the puzzle of my life
Then I realise, not all the pieces have to fit the frame
No matter how wrong and unsuitable they seem
They are all my pieces, they came to stay
I decide to keep them all
Carefully piling them in the box
Observing every one of them
My eyes water, I love them, they are mine
I shake them gently for them to mix
Then toss them into the air and watch them fall.
They cover space much bigger than the frame
They are disordered and seemingly unconnected
My pieces are apart but they still
Form one big picture extending beyond the norm
A picture that no one else could have created
Not even me If I was to do it again
The uniqueness of my creation is overwhelming.
I watch the beauty of individual pieces
I awe in the realisation of their meaning
The puzzle is no more a puzzle it’s my piece of art.

Not so long ago I came across this interesting story by Caroline Voice. She uses it as a very nice analogy for life situations that each of us will find ourselves in at least once in our lives. Some people are not aware of their situation, others don't know how to escape it. In any case, this story is worth reading and thinking about. Not so much about the story itself, but about our own lives.
I wish you all the best🙏

MY MIND
If only my mouth could speak to you
the way my mind speaks to me.
If only my mind could use my hand to write unspoken.
My mind, the birthplace and cemetery of my thoughts.
My mind the keeper of fragments
I wish I was brave enough to live.

HERE WE GO AGAIN
Your eyes travel around my face,
taking snapshots of the scenery.
Gentle fingers buried inside my hair
underpin my fragile neck.
My crumbled inside also feels the support.
A motionless body is a perfect cover
for the commotion taking place inside me.
I have a heart! – My almost immediate discovery.
Its regained beat pumps out the pain
that sat there for years and years.
All that wrench is now
being diluted in my blood vessels.
Your lips driven by my pain
land on my skin, looking
to comfort and be comforted.
Safety and peace welcome! And stay.

TIME
Time is moving at its constant speed.
No faster, no slower than yesterday.
No faster, no slower than tomorrow.
It`s its own entity with a dumb show.
Taking no notice of me and my need.
Selfishly ignoring my calls, `MAY DAY`!
Me waiting for what it has to bestow.
It`s been a long run, I need a rope tow.
Some obstacles I jump; some try to cheat.
While I sleep I get stuck on the way.
When I am awake, I am too slow.
But I try to stay in the know.
Last night I went to sleep and all was fine.
This morning I was gone with time.
I was too exhausted to race but I had always known
there will be a case when the time will show
its grace
and
stop,
just for me.
It did.
