“Most innovation comes from frontier science. 50% of EIC Transition projects indeed originate from ERC Proof of Concept results.”

“For innovation, we need diversity early in the process and to trust researchers to pursue bold ideas.”

Veľký úspech Katedry chémie Fakulty prírodných vied a informatiky UKF, blahoželáme! Jej výskum, ktorý sa zaoberá problematikou chemických modifikácií ovčej vlny a jej využitia v environmentálnych aplikáciách, bol publikovaný v článku na portáli Chemistry World. Vvydáva ho Kráľovská chemická spoločnosť (Royal Society of Chemistry), jedna z najvýznamnejších vedeckých organizácií v oblasti chemických vied.

AI systems are advancing faster than most of us realise.

That’s why policymakers need clearer evidence on how capable these systems really are in order to understand their impact on individual and collective well-being.

Join us on 17 June 2026 (15:00–17:30 CEST) for “AI Capabilities and well-being”, a virtual discussion convened by the OECD - OCDE WISE Centre, with experts from the OECD, Google DeepMind, the Max Planck Institute, IEEE and the United Nations Foundation.

The conversation will explore:

➡️ Measuring AI capabilities and progress toward artificial general intelligence

➡️ Human-centered AI and collective well-being

➡️ Implications and role of policy

“Your story matters”

Not every important story begins in a classroom.
Some begin with:
• overcoming barriers to education
• adapting to a new university environment
• questioning where we belong
• discovering how literature, history, philosophy, languages, or the arts shape the way we see the world

The Magna Charta Observatory Essay Competition invites students to reflect on how the humanities have influenced their experience of higher education.
The most powerful essays are often deeply personal.
Your perspective matters.
Your experience matters.
Your voice matters.

Deadline: 13 July 2026
