NINA BOLEDOVIČOVÁ ✨ VCU VOLLEYBALL

Nina is a rising senior volleyball player from Bratislava, Slovakia, majoring in Economics and minoring in Marketing and Media Studies at Virginia Commonwealth University 💛

She is about to enter her third semester at VCU, but she also carries with her past experiences from spending her first two years at a junior college in Florida 🏴‍☠️ Together with Florida SouthWestern State College, Nina won two National Championships, as well as successfully finished her Associate in Arts degree 🎓

Located in the heart of Virginia’s capital city Richmond, Virginia Commonwealth is ranked among the best public research universities 🔬 The strongest programs include health sciences, business, as well as one of the most prominent art program in the country 📐

The Rams 🐏 are a member of the Atlantic 10, continuously chasing the highest positions in this D1 Conference 🏆 The volleyball season is slowly approaching and we wish our own Nina @ the best of luck from her new position as the team captain ⭐️

“How would you describe your experience of being a former “juco” athlete, as well as your progression into the NCAA Divison I level?”

“Spending my first two years at a junior college has been one of the best decisions I made. FSW gave me space to develop myself as a player and a leader and gain confidence, which ultimately led me to the amazing opportunity of being a part of VCU’s program. The pressure and the competition only got stronger, and I am glad I got to be prepared!”

Originally from Bratislava, Slovakia, and currently studying at HAK Neusiedler am See, Patrik has worked hard for this moment ✨ This is an exciting next step toward his future, both academically and athletically 🏅

DAVID KRŇÁVEK ✨ HAWAI’I HILO TENNIS

David is a freshman tennis player from Brno, Czech Republic, majoring in Business Management at University of Hawai’i at Hilo 🌺

Based on the Big Island of Hawai’i, UH Hilo has a very laid-back, tropical atmosphere, embracing the local culture and atmosphere 🏝️ This public univesity is mostly recognized for its marine science, astronomy, and volcanology programs, as well as its hands-on learning approach 📕

The Vulcans 🖖🏼 compete in the Pacific West Conference of NCAA Division II together with our own David @… who is a part of their tennis team 🎾 After graduating from Montverde Academy in 2025, David has helped the team to a fifth place finish in the PacWest Championship during his freshman campaign ⭐️

“How would you describe your first-year experience of being a student-athlete in Hawai’i?”

“A big shock for me was how unique and different Hawai’i is compared to where I was born, everything here is so laid-back and calm. I was very surprised how the university and the team welcomed me, and getting to explore while playing has been my favorite part of it all. As a student-athlete, I enjoy the possibility of combining playing and studying while still having time to spend time with friends!”

Monika Bíliková is Quincy bound! Our student-athlete middle blocker from Skalica, Slovakia has officially committed to Quincy University - a strong volleyball program combined with excellent academic opportunities 🎓

Monika is also a member of the Slovak National Team, a strong player, and an amazing athlete who has consistently proven herself at a high level 🏐 she previously competed in Slovakia with Nové Mesto nad Váhom, where she developed into a dominant presence at the net 💥

She will continue her journey in NCAA Division II in Illinois while pursuing a degree in Graphic Design 🎨

Spomínaš si na nezabudnutel’nú atmosféru v P**e? Minulý rok sme mali tú čest zúčastnit sa 20. ročníka Global Challenge, jedného z najunikátnejších a najinšpiratívnejších volejbalových turnajov na svete 🌟

Tento rok ideme opäť a chceme aby si práve ty bola pri tom!

Prečo sa pridať?
Stretnutie s hráčkami a tímami z celého sveta - 31 tímov z 14 krajín 🌎 Súboe s profesionálnymi hráčkami a národnými tímami (napr. Švajčiarsko 🇨🇭+ tímy z Havaja či Kalifornie 🌺)

Minulý rok sme ako tím skončili 7. miesto z 24 tímov v našej divízii - a tento rok chceme íst ešte vyššie 🔥 Práve preto berieme zo Slovenska až dva tímy!

Stále máme voľné pozície pre hráčky narodené v roku 2007 a mladšie! Ak sa chceš stat súčastou nášho tímu a zažit turnaj, na ktorý nikdy nezabudneš, neváhaj ⭐️ Pridaj sa k nám a bud súčastou tímu, ktorý spája hráčky v nezabudnuteľnej volejbalovej výprave!

ELLA JONÁŠOVÁ ✨ FSCJ VOLLEYBALL

Ella is a sophomore volleyball player from Bratislava, Slovakia, pursuing her Associate of Arts degree at Florida State College at Jacksonville 🩵

Based in Jacksonville, Florida, FSCJ has multiple campuses across the spread out city that is a combination of costal Florida and Southern culture ☀️ This state college offers more than 150 programs with an emphasis on career-ready fields like business, nursing, and health sciences 🧬

The Manta Rays compete in Region 8 of the NJCAA together with our own Ella .jonasova who is a part of both their indoor and beach volleyball teams 🏝️ The two-year college system serves as a great stepping stone - helping student-athletes adjust to college life, improve both athletic and academic skills, and open doors to new challenging opportunities 🌟

“What is your favorite memory from the United States and were there any culture shocks you weren’t quite ready for?”

“The food here is very different than what I was used to at home, so it took me some time to adjust! I really enjoyed our season-opening tournament in Illinois - we got to play good games and see Chicago. I also attended an NBA game in Orlando with my friends, which was so so fun!”

We are proud to share that our student Natália Kováčiková has been accepted to the University of Victoria in Canada 🇨🇦

Natália, currently studying at Lýceum C. S. Lewisa in Bratislava, will continue her academic journey at UVic’s prestigious Gustavson School of Business, where she will pursue a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) degree 📚

We are incredibly proud of you, Natalia, and everything you have accomplished so far 🤩 this is just the beginning of an exciting journey, and we can’t wait to see all the amazing things you will achieve in the future!

SPRING BREAK UPDATE 🌸

While many of our student-athletes are currently in season, busy with travelling and competing 🏆 many others get to enjoy a well-deserved week off - whether that is spent travelling around the U.S. or abroad for some much-needed sun ☀️ enjoying rest on campus, or studying, working and gaining experience 🤓 only another one of the perks of studying and playing in the United States!

STEFANIA SALAZAR ✨ TCU TRIATHLON

Stefania is a sophomore triathlete from Bratislava, Slovakia, majoring in Business, currently in her fourth semester at TCU 💜

Based in Fort Worth, Texas, Texas Christian University is located about 4 miles from downtown Fort Worth 🌆 This private research university is consistently ranked among the Top 100 National Universities in several outstanding programs, such as Business, Nursing, and Education 📚

The Horned Frogs 🐸 are a part of NCAA Division I, competing in one of the most challenging conferences, the Big 12 🏆 In 2022, TCU became the first school in Texas with a women’s triathlon team, and has established itself on the national scene ever since 🚴🏼‍♀️ together with our own Nia ._stefania

“What are your favorite memories since moving abroad? What surprised you the most about this experience so far?”

“My favorite memory is definitely getting to travel around the country to race with my best friends. One thing I was pleasantly surprised by was how friendly and supportive the people at my school are.”

We are proud to announce that Liliana Barbieriková has committed to Monroe University in New York, where she will continue her volleyball career while pursuing her academic degree 🎓

Liliana is a highly experienced player with both national and international competition exposure 🏐 she is also a member of the Slovakia’s National Volleyball Team, representing her country at the highest level 🇸🇰

She comes from Myjava and played for VK Nové Mesto nad Váhom, where she developed into the outstanding athlete she is today 🏆

At Monroe, located in the heart of New York - a city full of energy and opportunity - she will compete at the NCAA Division II level, taking the next big step in both her athletic and academic journey 📓

We are incredibly proud of Liliana and everything she has accomplished so far ⭐️ we can’t wait to follow and support her journey in the USA and watch her continue to grow on and off the court 💙
