Yesterday was an incredibly productive day for the project. After the first part of the day, when we checked all completed activities, we visited the “Bursa Culture Tourism Promotion Union” - —and presented our recommendations for future cultural tourism development.

We also had the opportunity to explore the historic gems and Bursa’s rich culture.

🌍 EUROCREATIVE YOUTH: CREATING CULTURAL TOURISM

Day 2 of our final meeting in Bursa, Türkiye, has begun! We’re diving into key discussions about our project’s progress, local seminars, and guidelines for policy recommendations on cultural tourism in rural areas.

From platform pilot actions to dissemination strategies, we’re working hard to ensure the success and sustainability of our initiatives. We’ll also be awarding certificates of participation and conducting a quality survey.

After lunch, we’ll be enjoying a cultural visit of Bursa, exploring the rich history and vibrant culture of this beautiful city.

Yesterday, we kicked off the final meeting of the Eurocreative Youth project in Bursa, Turkey. The day began with a meeting at the KEPDER office, followed by a transfer to Harmancık Municipality.

We were warmly welcomed at Harmancık Municipality with a cafe break, followed by a welcome speech and a presentation of Harmancık Municipality's rural tourism activities. The KEPDER team presented the project to Harmancık Municipality, and UJI shared policy recommendations on the development of cultural tourism in rural areas and dissemination strategies.

We spent the day with the mayor of Harmancık, gaining valuable insights into local tourism initiatives and community engagement. The group then visited Harmancık Municipality tourism areas, exploring the unique offerings of [Harmancık Eco Tourism](https://harmancikeco.com).

One of the primary objectives of this project is to foster creativity among young individuals, connecting it to the process of innovation in rural settings through engaging informal education methods closely tied to technology, thus empowering them for the challenges of the digital age. This project aims to provide a training opportunity to young men and women who live in these areas so that they acquire the necessary skills that allow them to exploit the possibilities of entrepreneurship that these rural, unpopulated, and remote areas have in terms of cultural and creative tourism.

The Erasmus+ Eurocreative Youth project recently held its transnational meeting in the charming Slovenian town of Rogaška Slatina on 17-18 May 2024. This leading project, co-funded by the European Union, brings together an international consortium of organisations committed to promoting cultural tourism through the empowerment of young entrepreneurs.

At the transnational meeting of the Eurocreative YOUTH project, participants also visited best practices in cultural tourism, the main project field topic. They visited Podsreda Castle, which is of significant importance for development and ideas in the niche of cultural tourism.

Podsreda Castle is an excellent example of preserving and integrating cultural heritage into tourism. Its rich history, architectural value, and cultural significance give visitors an authentic insight into the region's past. Additionally, the castle hosts numerous cultural events, workshops, and exhibitions, attracting a wide range of visitors, from history enthusiasts to families and tourists.

The importance of Podsreda Castle for the development of cultural tourism is multifaceted. Firstly, it offers a sustainable model for cultural heritage preservation, involving the local community and promoting the region's economic growth. Secondly, the castle represents innovative approaches to interpreting cultural heritage, allowing visitors an interactive and educational experience. Thirdly, as part of a broader tourism network, it contributes to the region's promotion and increases its attractiveness to international visitors.
