At the closing event in Maribor, participants of the 5th cohort of the professional Ayurveda training program presented their final projects and received their certificates upon successfully completing the course.

With great pride, we congratulate Deirdre Flood, the first graduate of the Health Sciences program – Ayurveda track, who completed her studies with the highest possible distinction, summa cm laude, thereby making an important contribution to the understanding of holistic approaches in healthcare.

In her master’s thesis entitled “Ayurveda – A Key to Targeted Prevention of Endometriosis”, under the mentorship of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Gordana Marković, she explored the role of Ayurveda in the prevention and management of endometriosis through a scientifically grounded approach, as well as its potential within the framework of modern integrative health sciences.

Dr. Katalin Molnár has successfully defended her final thesis in the postgraduate program of Health Sciences – specialization in Ayurveda.

In her master’s thesis entitled “Enhancing Sleep Quality Through Transcendental Meditation and Maharishi Ayurveda in Hungarian Population: An Integrative Approach”, she examined the impact of Transcendental Meditation and Maharishi Ayurveda on sleep quality in the Hungarian population.

“The thesis was completed under the mentorship of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Gordana Marković. Sincere congratulations to Dr. Molnár for this pioneering achievement and her significant contribution to the development of integrative approaches in healthcare at Alma Mater Europaea University,” emphasized Prof. Dr. Tine Kovačič, Head of the Health Sciences program.

The Ayurveda Open Day welcomed a vibrant mix of participants from all generations, each eager to deepen their connection with this time-honored Indian medical tradition.

Visitors explored Ayurveda’s core principles, learned about its powerful impact on both mental and physical well-being, and discovered the importance of living in harmony with nature’s rhythms to cultivate a more fulfilling life.
In addition, we introduced the postgraduate Ayurveda program offered within the Health Sciences curriculum, as well as specialized professional training designed to expand knowledge and skills in this transformative field.

Ayurveda students worldwide visited Maribor as part of their studies at Alma Mater Europaea University. In addition to academic activities, they explored the city’s cultural and natural beauty.

Alma Mater offers the master’s program Professional Training in Ayurveda, designed for those who wish to integrate Ayurvedic diagnostic and therapeutic knowledge into their practice.

Applications are open until February 1, 2026.

You are cordially invited to the Traditional Ayurveda Open Day, which will take place on Friday, July 25, 2025, at 3:00 PM at Alma Mater Europaea University, Slovenska cesta 17, Maribor.

Two educational tracks are available:
- Master’s Degree Program in Health Sciences, with a specialization in Ayurveda – Integrative Health Sciences.
- Postgraduate Certificate in Ayurveda for Health Professionals, a two-semester course awarding a certificate upon completion of 55 ECTS credits (without a degree).
