✍ Writing Task-2 Tips #002
* Plan Before You Write
Essay লিখতে শুরু করার আগে 2-3 মিনিট time নিতে হবে planning-এর জন্য। আপনার main points গুলো ঠিক করে নিতে হবে এবং সাথে সাথে relevant examples ঠিক করে নিতে হবে ।

Planning করলে আপনার essay হবে:
• More logical (ideas clear & connected)
• More organized (paragraphs properly structured)
• Less stressful (লিখতে গিয়ে মাঝপথে থেমে ভাবতে হবে না)

Example:
Topic: Some people think children should study science, others think arts are equally important. Discuss both views and give your opinion.
Quick Plan:
• Para 1 → Importance of science (technology, career)
• Para 2 → Importance of arts (creativity, culture)
• Para 3 → Opinion (balance both subjects)
• Example → Countries that focus only on science lag in creativity.

Remember:
• মাত্র 2-3 মিনিট planning = অনেক বেশি organized essay
• Use short notes / bullet points → তারপর paragraph expand করেন
• A clear plan = A higher band score

📚 Reading Tips #002
* Focus on Synonyms
IELTS Reading-এ অনেক সময় question-এ যেটা লেখা আছে, passage-এ সেটা exact same words দিয়ে না এসে synonyms বা paraphrase হিসেবে থাকতে পারে। তাই keywords-এর পাশাপাশি similar words বা phrases-এর ওপরও নজর দিতে হবে।

যদি আপনি শুধু question-এর শব্দগুলোই খুঁজেন, তাহলে passage-এ ভিন্নভাবে লেখা হলে মিস হয়ে যেতে পারে। Synonyms চিনে রাখলে উত্তর খুঁজে পাওয়া অনেক সহজ হয়।

Example:
• Increase → Rise, Go up, Climb
• Decrease → Fall, Drop, Decline
• Important → Significant, Major, Key
• Help → Assist, Support

Remember:
• Question keywords + Synonyms = Fast & Accurate Reading
• Synonyms practice করলে True/False/Not Given বা Matching Headings সহজ হবে।

🎧 Listening Tips #002
* Watch Out for Distractions
IELTS Listening-এ অনেক সময় প্রথমে একটা information দেওয়া হয়, কিন্তু পরে সেটা change বা correct করে বলা হয়। আপনি যদি শুধু প্রথমটা শুনেন আর লিখে ফেলেন, তাহলে ভুল হয়ে যাবে।

Examiner আপনাকে confuse করার জন্য distractors use করবে। তাই সবসময় শেষ পর্যন্ত মনোযোগ দিয়ে শুনতে হবে।

Example:
• The meeting will be at 10 am… oh no, sorry, it’s been moved to 10:30 am.
এখানে আসল answer হলো 10:30 am, প্রথমটা নয়।

Remember:
• Don’t judge too quickly, wait until the info is confirmed.
• Distraction words যেমন sorry, actually, I mean, correction এগুলো শুনলেই alert হতে হবে।
• সবসময় final information টা answer হিসেবে লিখতে হবে।

🎤 Speaking Tips #001
* Extend Your Answer
IELTS Speaking-এ শুধু “Yes” বা “No” বলে থেমে যাওয়া যাবে না। এর সাথে কারণ (reason) এবং উদাহরণ (example) যোগ করতে হবে, যাতে আপনার উত্তর natural এবং detailed শোনায়।

Short answers দিলে examiner ভাবতে পারে আপনার vocabulary বা fluency কম। কিন্তু reason + example দিলে আপনার language skill, grammar এবং idea development- সব কিছুই clear হবে।

Example:
Q: Do you like reading?
Bad answer: Yes, I do. (খুব ছোট, কোনো explanation নেই)
Good answer: Yes, I do. I enjoy reading because it helps me relax after work, and I also learn new ideas from books.

Remember:
• Answer + Reason + Example = Perfect Speaking Response
• Try to speak at least 2–3 sentences for each question.
• Practice করে এই habit তৈরি করতে হবে, যাতে exam-এ স্বাভাবিকভাবে apply করতে পারেন।

✍ Writing Task-1 Tips #001
* Use an Overview Sentence
Overview হচ্ছে summary যা examiner-কে এক ঝলকে trend বুঝিয়ে দিবে, কিন্তু details পরে আলাদা paragraph-এ লিখতে হবে।
Introduction এর পরে একটি short overview sentence দিবেন যেখানে আপনি পুরো chart, graph, বা diagram এর main trend বা key features highlight করবেন। এটা আপনার report কে organized এবং examiner-friendly করে তুলবে।

Overview examiner-কে দেখায় যে আপনি পুরো data ভালোভাবে বুঝেছেন এবং big picture clear করতে পারছেন। IELTS Writing Task 1 এ overview না দিলে ভালো band score পাওয়া কঠিন।
Example:
Overall, the sales of smartphones increased significantly, while tablet sales declined over the period.
এখানে আপনি দুইটা main trend এক বাক্যে clear করে দিয়েছেন- একদিকে growth, অন্যদিকে decline.

Remember:
1) Overview = big picture, no small details.
*Big picture = পুরো data বা chart দেখে যে সাধারণ বা overall trend বোঝা যায়।
Example:
• Sales increased over the whole period.
• Population growth was steady.
*No small details = নির্দিষ্ট সংখ্যা, বছর, বা ছোটখাটো ডেটা এখানে লিখবেন না।
Example (overview-এ যা লিখবে না):
• Sales rose from 200 in 2010 to 350 in 2020 (এটা ছোটখাটো details, তাই main body তে যাবে)

2) Use words like overall, in general, it is clear that, a notable trend is ইত্যাদি।
3) Short but impactful রাখবেন, ১-২ লাইনের বেশি নয়।

📚 Reading Tips #001
* Skim Before You Scan
প্রথমে পুরো passage টা দ্রুত পড়তে হবে যাতে আপনি overall idea বা main theme ধরতে পারেন - একে বলে Skimming.
এরপর নির্দিষ্ট question এর answer খুঁজতে গিয়ে specific শব্দ, phrase বা sentence locate করতে হবে - একে বলে Scanning.

Skimming করলে আপনি বুঝতে পারবেন কোন paragraph বা section-এ আপনার answer থাকার সম্ভাবনা বেশি। এরপর scanning করে আপনি exact answer বের করতে পারবেন অনেক দ্রুত।

Example:
যদি 'True / False / Not Given' type question থাকে, তাহলে প্রথমে skimming করে ধরে ফেলতে হবে কোন অংশে ওই বিষয় আছে। তারপর scanning করে সেই অংশ থেকে correct answer choose করতে হবে ।

Remember:
• Skimming = read fast for main idea.
• Scanning = read fast for specific information.
• একসাথে এই দুইটা টেকনিক practice করতে পারলে (as an expert) আপনার reading speed আর accuracy দুইটাই improve হবে।
