📌“THINK TWICE!” in D’kar🎭

As part of our settlement activities, the “Think Twice!” engaged Seetebosigo Theatre Group to utilise skills and techniques that were learnt during our innovation camps and training courses, notably the still image as well as Angel and the Devil.

The aim of the action is to educate the communities especially the youth on Prevention,Parent Child Communication and Gender Based Violence!

📌”THINK TWICE!” in East Hanahai

Think Twice! team visited East Hanahai to hold workshop with youth. Through discussion, use of still image and angel & devil we explored topics related to gender based violence & sexual and reproductive health.

V sodelovanju z Društvo ustvarjalcev TAKA TUKA gledališka pedagogika / Educational Drama and Theatre
Program je namenjen učiteljem OŠ (razredna in predmetna stopnja) in vzgojiteljem v predšolski vzgoji. Osvetlil bo vse tri ključne stebre gledališke pedagogike: ⁣
• gledališko opismenjevanje (kako pripraviti otroke na ogled predstave in aktivnosti z otroki po ogledu predstave), ⁣
• ustvarjanje gledališča z otroki ⁣
• in uporabo gledaliških pristopov pri poučevanju - interaktivne učne pristope za doseganje vzgojno-izobraževalnih ciljev z različnih predmetnih področij.⁣

Učni pristopi, ki vključujejo metode in tehnike gledališke pedagogike, lahko olajšajo obravnavo, poglabljanje in utrjevanje snovi pri vseh predmetih, od umetniških, družboslovnih pa vse do naravoslovnih. Pri tem se razvijajo procesi, ki izpostavljajo pridobivanje in vključevanje izkušenj ter obdelavo le teh za razvoj kompleksnega mišljenja.⁣

📌THINK TWICE! PROJECT IN GHANZI

As part of our EU-funded (European Union in Botswana) project Think Twice!, we are hosting an Innovation Camp for 32 young people from settlements across the Ghanzi District.

Throughout the week, participants are engaging in educational theatre and drama workshops that open space for conversations about gender-based violence and sexuality education.

Leaders of our partner NGOs (Men & Boys for Gender Equality Botswana, Letloa Trust, Humana People to People Botswana) are facilitating activities and group discussions on the upcoming brochure and educational video about HIV/AIDS both to be developed within the project. These new resources will support trained educators, health-care providers and community development officers in empowering youth with knowledge, agency and confidence.

As a part of our European funded project (European Union in Botswana) “Think Twice!” we implemented training course on use of educational theatre and drama for comprehensive sexuality education. The training took place in the Community Hall in Ghanzi from 7th to 11th July. It was led by the trainers from consortium partners; Ghanzi District Council, Humana People to People Botswana, Men & Boys for Gender Equality Botswana, Letloa Trust, TAKA TUKA. We can’t wait to see our partners using what they learned with young people 😍!!
