Food & Tech Bites is a pilot festival, and this year's edition explores how documentary film can shape the way science reaches people.
Gregor Božič - filmmaker, researcher, hands-on caretaker of old fruit varieties, and recipient of the 2026 Prešeren Fund Award - is at the heart of this edition. His short film Common Pear is our starting point for a broader conversation about biodiversity 🌿, the slow disappearance of intergenerational knowledge, and what documentary film can do that a research paper can't 🎬
Come for the whole day or just the morning or afternoon part - either way, expect good company and fresh ideas! 💬

One wrong message. One wrong tweet. One wrong step.
In a crisis, the smallest slip can shift the entire story.
That’s why every word matters − every statement, every tone, every moment of silence.
Crisis communication isn’t just about responding;
it’s about responding right.
Precision protects trust.
And trust is everything.
