Sleep isn’t just recovery - it’s part of how you learn. This is strongly supported by neuroscience and psychology.

When you study, new information is stored in a fragile, short-term form. During sleep, your brain replays and reorganizes that information, strengthening it into long-term memory - a process called memory consolidation.

While you sleep, your brain:
• reactivates what you've learned
• strengthens important connections
• filters out what’s less useful

Different stages of sleep even play different roles:
• Deep sleep strengthens facts and concepts
• REM sleep supports patterns, creativity, and problem-solving

Sleep isn’t a break from learning - it’s when learning actually sticks.

Did you know this about constructions?!

This one has caused arguments throughout the internet. Can you do it (without a calculator, of course)?

The thaw has arrived, which means we’re in the final stretch of the school year. Does that feel exciting, stressful, or a bit of both? Final exams and grades can be overwhelming, but with the right mindset and solid study habits, that stress can ease.

For me, this time of year also brings a bit of anxiety. As winter fades into spring, my routine shifts completely - snowboarding every weekend turns into sailing and living on the water every day. It sounds (and is) amazing, but sailboats are always a lot of work. Still, with hard work comes great reward.

Stay tuned for updates and new adventures from the sailboat ⛵

Teachers, what are your thoughts about this?

I know some teachers love getting "tips" before the students arrive - for the seating chart or whatever else, placing "problem" students in strategic areas... But honestly, maybe that's why those kids are often a "problem"... ? 🤔🤷‍♀️

When teachers tries to tell me the dirt, I stop them before even the third word of the sentence and tell them not to tell me... Put earmuffs on and walk out of the room. Trust me, you'll have better rapport with the students if you do this.

This one is a thinker! Let's hear your thoughts 🙃

Constructions are accurate drawings of shapes, angles, and lines in geometry. You'll need a compass, and a straight edge (for example, a ruler, or the side of your notebook). Note: We say a "straight edge" instead of a ruler because there's never any measuring done when drawing constructions - they're actually more precise!

Can you draw them? Let me know how you did in the comments!
