Lithuania🇱🇹 - country where it all started and where it all finished.
Two weeks ago the project team met for the last face to face meeting and reflected on the past three years ... on challenging issues that arose during the project❗️, new network of people💁‍♀️💁‍♂️🚶‍♀️🚶‍♂️🤰, memories😇. And there was also special time for celebrating➡️the great work and results we achieved as a team.
Well, to be honest, there is still some work that needs to be done😅🤓. Also posting some results here on FB and on our website. So, stay tuned.
In the name of all project partners we would like to thank everyone of you who dedicated time and energy to make this "project happen". Teachers, principles, administrators, social workers, parents, children ... 😇👏. You are invited to share your experiences here under this post with others. THANK YOU!🙌

On 23 January 2020 project Learning to Be national closing conference in Latvia was organized to present conclusions and results. The aim of the conference was to highlight the importance of the education system at national level to development student’s socio-emotional skills. The event was opened by adviser to the President of Latvia on issues of rule of law and EU legal policy, Dr.iur., asoc. prof. Irēna Kucina, as well as the Minister of Education and Science Dr. philol. Ilga Šuplinska. More than 300 people attended the conference.

The Italian research team presented the Learning to be project, its aims, results, and policy recommendations at the National Closing Conference, held in collaboration with the Lombardy Region at the Pirelli Tower, Milan. The audience – more than 80 people - consisted in school principals, teachers, policy makers, researchers, etc. The Conference was opened by the Welfare General Director of the Region. A round table at the end of the Conference was the opportunity for representatives of different roles (i.e., teacher, head of school, SEL trainer, policy maker) to share their own experiences and talk about their contribution to the project, as well as to reflect on the future of SEL at school.

Last Saturday, 18th of January 2020, the final conference of the Learning to be project was held at ISEC Lisboa. About 60 teachers participated in the event, where beyond the presentation and discussion of the results of the project, some pedagogical implications for the classroom were launched. Besides that, other communications were presented by specialists in the field of resilience and mental health in childhood and adolescence. Participants showed great interest in future actions regarding SEL and everyone wants to "learning to be" a better teacher/learner.

Hope our followers can catch up with all events that are taking place in project partner's countries. Today the National SEL Forum is taking place in Vilnius, Lithuania. And as we can all see .... their hearts are fully engaged❤️. More to follow.

Well, our project is slowly coming to an end. It has been a very productive and inspiring project that brought to life great products and tools ⛏that are practical and useful.
This month will be marked by national events in each project partners' country where the results and future directions will be presented and dicsussed.
The first national event took place last week in Spain and was organised by very dedicated group from University Loyola, Andalucia🇪🇸.
