At the forum, we are conducting 🇸🇮🇲🇰🇪🇺 workshops as part of the EQUAL HEALTH project! 👩‍⚕️👨‍⚕️

🏥 The Simulation Centre Ljubljana, Community Health Centre Ljubljana, together with colleagues from the Centre for Family Medicine, Medical Faculty Skopje, delivered a series of interactive educational activities focused on strengthening primary healthcare through simulation-based learning:

🔹 Geriatric triage in primary care 👵👴
🔹 Management of septic shock at the primary care level 🚨🩺
🔹 VR workshop on the importance of simulation-based training in primary care 🥽🎮
🔹 Lecture and presentation of the EQUAL HEALTH project 🌍💙

International collaboration, innovation, and education are key to building stronger and more equitable primary healthcare systems for all.

🏥🌍 We attended the General Assembly of the Association of General Practitioners/Family Medicine of Southeastern Europe (AGP/FMSE Europe).

🤝 During the meeting, we presented an initiative to establish the SESAM Primary Care Group, a new special interest group within SESAM.

🎯 Our mission:
✅ Advance simulation-based education in primary care,
✅ Enhance patient safety,
✅ Foster international collaboration and the exchange of best practices.

As part of the forum, we are conducting 🇸🇮🇲🇰🇪🇺 workshops within the EQUAL HEALTH project, aimed at strengthening knowledge exchange and collaboration among healthcare professionals.

🩺 Today’s workshop focuses on the recognition and management of septic shock in older adults—one of the most challenging medical emergencies in primary care, where early recognition and timely intervention are crucial for improving patient outcomes.

📍🇲🇰 1st Forum of the Association of General Practitioners, Ohrid

Representatives of the IRROZ Simulation Centre, Community Health Centre Ljubljana (CHC Ljubljana) 🇸🇮, a WHO Collaborating Centre, met with Dr. Akeem Ali, WHO Representative in North Macedonia 🇲🇰.

Dr. Akeem Ali emphasized:
“Primary Care is not the lowest level of the system. It is the main foundation of the system.”

He highlighted 👥 workforce development, 💻 digital transformation, 🤝 multidisciplinary teams, 🔗 integrated care, 📚 training, and 🏛️ political commitment as key priorities for the future of primary health care.

Together with our partners from North Macedonia 🇲🇰, we also presented the Equal Health Project 🌍 and discussed opportunities for future collaboration with WHO.

🌍 The Geriatric Emergencies workshop is being conducted within the Equal Health project, promoting equitable access to quality healthcare and strengthening competencies in the care of vulnerable populations.

🤝 We look forward to sharing knowledge, experiences, and innovative approaches in health simulation with colleagues from across Southeastern Europe. 🇲🇰🇸🇮
