⚡️Did you know you can still get faster even if its cold outside? Today we present a light version of our Sprint Preparation Exercises - they got a lot of names and they seem to differ, but the important thing is that you do them. ⠀

⚡️ They are pretty low on metabolic demand, but demanding on mental and tehcnical focus, if you plan to do them correctly and actually have some kind of positive transfer to your sport/sprinting. Even if you are an endurance athlete or a non running based sport athlete or you just do sports for recreation - this will make you feel more athletic anyhow.⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀
⚡️Key points: ⠀
✔️ Starting position is circa 90 degree knee and hip flexion,⠀
✔️ ‘Put force on the ground’ meaning you should push with the lifted leg down and not pull the standing leg up. You shouldn’t jump either. ⠀
✔️ Keep your trunk/lower back straight during the switch, no side bending or leaning forward should occur. ⠀
✔️ Use your arms as in running - opposite sides (L arm - R leg and vice versa). Relaxed them, don’t let them get to high and don’t use ‘robotic’ arms either.⠀

✔️ Exercises:⠀⠀⠀⠀
1️⃣ Thigh Switch (single) over mini & midi hurdle (you don’t need hurdles to do them❗️)⠀
2️⃣ Rhytmic Thigh Switches (add 2 or 3 mini jumps before switching, just to get some rhytm flowing)⠀

🔷Dosing: Do 3 sets of 10 meters before/mid training. We will do a few more parts. ⠀

Test kontrole gibanja, moči in samozavesti pri rehabilitaciji kolena.

SuperTrening športnik Gašper Galič prikaže vrhunsko izvedbo upočasnjenega počepa na eni nogi.

Gašper si je poškodoval SKV/ACL katero je že "popravil". Po opravljeni FT rehabilitaciji nadaljujemo z rehab treningi.

Na takšen način spremljamo ali je športnik sposoben izvesti pravilen in kontroliran gib brez bolečine/omejitev skozi celoten razpon gibanja. Športnik pri izvajanju kontrolira ne samo koleno ampak tudi gleženj in kolk. Vidimo tudi ali je iz vidika moči sposoben izvesti celoten gib brez dvomov v koleno.

Na podlagi takšnih mini testov lahko počasi stopnjujemo intenivnost. Ali pa tudi ne. Odvisno!!!

🔹 learn and adjust to lift heavy lifts (near max) properly as the graph shows us where and what to improve,⠀

✔️ This was done now when the winter break is near and there are no competitive matches and less training❗️⠀

✔️Also this was hist first time doing the LPT FVP and actually lifting such heavy loads. This time he used the box for depth, next time it will be the band, to make sure he doesn’t bounce and ‘cheat’ the lift. Also the graph and velocities will be better, even though this is still R2 of 0.98. ⠀

Can you and should you train in pre-season besides the team training sessions? YES!⠀
• • ⠀
For footballers it’s easier (for us) since we head their physical performance both in the team setting and on an individual level, which means that we know how much worklod they have, how the trainings are, when the games are, how kuch they run, ar what intensities, etc. These guys came yesterday after a long match the day before. Subjective RPEs were around 4-6/10, with 10 being super fresh and 1 being ultra fatigued. ⠀
• • •⠀
What we did:⠀
■ Lower Body Mobility - hips, ankle and feet, knee⠀
■ LB Strength - light loads, low volume and focus on technique ⠀
■ UB Strength - as per usual, since that hasn’t been used as much⠀
■ Pump - think some biceps, triceps, lats work, the usual ‘feel good’ stuff⠀
■ Full Body Light Low Int Stretches - no extreme ROMs⠀
• Post training RPEs were reported for up to 3 points higher than before. And we got some work in and we did a small step to improving their technique on the stuff we do. ⠀
■ ⠀
So athletes, train in pre-season and during the season as that can prepare you greatly for the time once the season ends and you can actually start with quality training (more volume, more intensity). We take down a notch or two the volume in-season (1-2 games per week), intensity is also adjusted andwe have seen great things (jumps, sprints and lifts improving 20%) happen. But your coach has to know what they are doing, how to adjust and has to use subjective (how u feel) and objective measures (what u do).

If yesterday was football⚽️ time, than today it is handballs’🤾🏻‍♂️ turn. On here we have a few of our senior players prearing for the season ahead.

These guys have a bit more lifting/gym experience so we can do a bit more stuff, put them on kBox, use some of the fancy stuff like the LPT, Force Sensor, etc. with them, so that the data actually can be used, which is not something we would recommend for using with a novice athlete (in the gym).⠀

Since some of them play abroad or are students and have lots of commitments we don’t have a ton of time with them, just work on the things that will come in handy, so they can help themselves even during the season and stay healthy/perform on the highest level of their abilities.⠀

So yesterday we hosted a team training session/testing with @rkcpl youth. Why is it important to train, for the young players, even in the off-season? ⠀

This is the ideal time to learn and prepare for the future, thst does not mean maxing and overloading the young and developing athlete but to teach them the fundamental movements, make them conscious of their body and the environment (connect the internal with external) and slowly guide them on the path of becoming responsible, accountable and self aware adults, which leads to 2 things - being a better human ▶️ a better athlete. ⠀
• • • ⠀
Key things to check off in the youth athlete develoment:⠀
1️⃣ HEALTH: bring healthy and injury free means you can train, learn and progress at all times.
2️⃣ PROGRESSS: They need to be progressing on both the physical and mental side of their development. Make them antifragile, adaptable to any situation and circumstance and keep them accountable for what they put in (sleep, nutrition, training, school, relationships) they also get out. ⠀
3️⃣ DEVELOPMENT: For the future! Everything they are doing now is an investment in their future, the better the quality now the better their chances of staying healthy, progressing constantly and realizing their full potential.⠀
4️⃣ READY: For now! Everything they do has to show somewhere already today, a new skill, a good habit, consistency with their responsibilities, etc. Yes it’s cool to add a kg or two muscle, but if that doesn’t really help in you any kind of way of being a better human/athlete, what is the point? As an athlete your time is limited, every minute or even second counts!⠀

So this is just a part of our philosophy with the youth, we believe in improving them in every area - as people first, athletes second. So they learn and take the good habits (and keep them) for life, not just until they leave our training centre. @ SuperTrening
