CEEMAN was established in 1993 with the aim of accelerating the growth in quality of management development in central and eastern Europe. It is a global network of management development institutions interested in quality of education and innovations in this field, as well as in the broad area of subjects related to change. We are delighted to welcome Manfred F. R. Kets de Vries as a Keynote Speaker at the 34th CEEMAN Annual Conference, taking place September 23–25, 2026, in Bucharest, Romania.

A Distinguished Clinical Professor of Leadership Development and Organizational Change at INSEAD, Kets de Vries is a leading thinker on the psychodynamics of leadership, organizational change, and executive coaching. With decades of experience bridging academic research, psychoanalysis, and executive practice, he has worked with organizations and leaders across more than 40 countries.

The author of more than 70 books and over 500 academic articles, he has received numerous international honors for his contributions to leadership and management education.

We look forward to welcoming him to Bucharest and hearing his insights on leadership, organizations, and transformational change.

Celebrating Professor Jelena Filipović, 1st Runner-Up in the CEEMAN & Emerald Case Writing Competition!

Professor Jelena Filipovic is Full Professor of Marketing at the University of Belgrade – Faculty of Economics and Business. Her expertise spans digital marketing strategy, consumer behaviour, platform-mediated markets, and responsible marketing. She is also a published case author, with teaching cases featured by Harvard Business Publishing and SAGE Business Cases.

Her case, Moulding the Future: Scale, Succession and Circularity at Styrocoop, secured her the position of 1st Runner-Up in this year's competition.

Congratulations to Dr. Fahimeh Hateftabar, 2nd Runner-Up in the CEEMAN & Emerald Case Writing Competition!

Dr. Hateftabar is an Associate Professor of Marketing and Head of the Marketing Discipline at Ferrandi Paris. She holds a Ph.D. in Management Sciences, specializing in Marketing, from Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne. Her research focuses on consumer behavior, tourism and hospitality marketing, services marketing, customer experience, responsible marketing, sustainability, and digital transformation. She has published in leading international journals and authored teaching cases for SAGE Business Cases on smart tourism, destination management, mega-events, sustainability, and strategic decision-making.

Her recognized case, Privacy vs. Survival: A Strategic Liquidity Crisis at the Azar Landmark Hotel, earned her this well-deserved distinction.

🎓 At the QS Higher Ed Summit Europe in Budapest, CEEMAN Director Dr Aigerim Kaumenova moderated the panel discussion “Is Business School Accreditation Fit for Purpose?” alongside distinguished experts Dr Karen Tinsner-Fuchs, Dr Péter Fehér, and Sarah Vaughan.

As an international association committed to advancing excellence in management education through its Institutional Quality Accreditation (IQA) and quality development initiatives, CEEMAN was pleased to share its perspective on accreditation as a driver of continuous improvement, institutional relevance, and meaningful transformation.

The discussion explored the evolving role of accreditation, its connection with rankings, and how business schools can balance quality assurance requirements with innovation, societal impact, and long-term transformation.

A key message from the conversation was that the future of accreditation depends not only on accreditation bodies, but also on institutions themselves and our collective commitment to ensuring that quality assurance remains connected to genuine educational progress and transformation.

This year, 23 management educators and academic leaders from 14 institutions across 9 countries have come together for a week of intensive learning, sharing, and professional growth.

With more than 350 years of collective teaching experience, the group represents a rich mix of disciplines, perspectives, and cultures.

Guided by an outstanding international faculty team of Jim Ellert, Krzysztof Obłój, Joe Pons, and Nuria Chinchilla, participants will explore innovative teaching approaches, the case method, leadership, and the future of management education.

We are proud to welcome the newest generation of IMTA participants and look forward to an inspiring week together
