On the 9th of August every year, we come together to celebrate the progress and prosperity we have enjoyed as a nation, as one people. A beautiful sea of red and white can be seen as people wave their flags high, pledging their loyalty to the country as they show their love and pride. Half of the year is gone and we are now entering the second half. Many things in life are constantly changing and life will still continue to throw challenges at us. Despite these challenges, we should always persevere through and embrace the SAF’s motto, “Ready, Decisive and Respected” to accept them.
Let gather together on 18 July, 7.30pm at our Monthly Chapter Meeting to share our appreciation to our SAF.

Back to the regular programming schedule of Monthly Chapter Meetings! After the break last month due to Vesak Day, our members are extremely excited to speak and present their long awaited speeches to us!

It's June now, and this is a mid checkpoint for us to see if we're en route to achieving our goals,
on the journey of growth.
It can be exhausting when you see that your efforts aren't in fruition yet, but bear in mind. You are planting the seeds of your plant. You are watering, fertilizing them and tending to them with love and care.

This is enough. You have done enough.
Let's continue on this journey with more tender love and care from our Nee Soon South Toastmasters Community to learn, have fun and hop on to the journey of learning! 😁😁

To last Monday's Chapter Meeting! Warmly Welcomed by our 1st-timer In-house Member TMD, Duriati! Despite being her first time taking on this role, she was extremely welcoming and made everyone feel like home!

Really proud of all our members taking charge of their own learning and blooming at their own paces through doing speeches! 😄 Once again, our member, Meiling had clinched 2 best speaker awards in 2 months! Her speeches had shown leaps of improvement! 🏆🥇

Thank you to our esteemed evaluators, John Khalid, Shan Shan and Sienna who delivered constructive evaluations for our dear speakers to improve! Thank you for taking your precious time out to serve and support!

We have beautifully wrapped up Feb's Chapter Meeting! 🥰

It's indeed a meeting full of love and appreciation to everyone. From the newly added 1 minute silent evaluations for everyone to give their constructive feedback and shared what they loved about our speaker's speeches, to table topics about exploring their 5 Love Languages, reminiscing about their past memories... 👣

We are indeed very proud of our member, Dan Ling, who had been on a hiatus of 1 year, and she decided to take up the challenge to start her speeches again and WOW-ed us with her rich history experiences back in China!
Our newest member, Mei Ling, had also completed her icebreaker speech. Her courageous spirit of coming to Singapore 20 years, and unwavering tenacity to challenge herself out of her comfort zone really moved our hearts. 😇

DTM Hakim, placed all of us in an immersive and reflective mood where he pondered on what it means to Give unconditionally. Indeed, in the spirit of love.

Thank you Belinda for being our evaluator and being so spontaneous in our Table Topics session! Your solid evaluation and humorous TT crowned you the champion of both segments! 🙌👏

What a GREAT way to start January 2022 with a Bang to the meeting! Our newest member, Chee Haw joined us and enjoyed himself with all the mesmerizing speeches and our Guest, Mei Ling was so intrigued with the high energy, warm & friendly conversations that she decided to take a leap of faith to fulfil her new year's resolution of speaking well and being confident! (Ps: We think that she's a great speaker already, as she clinched the Ribbon of the night for Table Topics! We're indeed very proud of her for trying this segment despite being her first time~🥰)

Our collective New Year Resolution for NSS is to make this club an extremely lively with a safe and genuine environment to learn, grow, and make mistakes. Do pop by our chapter meetings every 3rd Monday of the month if you're reading this! 🥳😚
