CHS Pri Volleyball

Recently, our Volleyball team and Softball team embarked on a 5-day 4-night trip to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia as part of a cultural immersion programme.

We took part in a myriad of exciting activities – from exploring coffee and rubber plantations in a kampung to visiting local attractions to attending lessons in a local school! How fun!

On day 3 of our trip, SK Putrajaya Presint 14 (1) welcomed us with open arms. We are extremely grateful as we were able to sit in an English lesson and learn some traditional games from the pupils.

Our visit to Kuala Lumpur would not have been complete without a volleyball match. As such, on day 4, we visited SK Putrajaya Presint 11(3) and played against their outstanding volleyball team. Both teams put up a tough fight!

Catholic High boys send books to children in South Africa! 📘📗📚

This year, our volleyball boys embarked on a meaningful activity, the South Africa Mobile Library Project, organised by Sony.

The South Africa Mobile Library Project provides free and easy access to the books for children in South Africa, especially those in remote areas, aiming for equity of primary education in South Africa.

Our boys, with their parents and friends, generously donated a variety of English storybooks in good condition.

The younger boys spent an afternoon, designing and making colourful and attractive bookmarks with meaningful quotes while the older boys sorted and packed books according to the different grades.

About 800 books were donated!! 👏👏👏

What an amazing journey for our junior boys this year! They tried their best against the formidable East Spring Primary School during the National Championship today.

Though our boys lost to them earlier during the quarter finals, they remained undaunted and worked hard as a team to put up a good fight!

We may not be champions this year, not even top 4 in the National Volleyball competition but we fought hard, we tried our best and we overcame all odds! It is a team built on strong friendship and camaraderie! We are proud of you, our seniors team, for coming in top 8 today!
