He just passed his Grade 3 with Distinction π
I promised him that if he did, he could pick one song from his wishlist and of course, he chose Blue π
He wasnβt the most naturally talented student when he first started. In fact, heβs probably one of the students who has received the most scolding from me for not practising π₯Ή
But no matter how tough the week was, no matter how many times I nagged, he always showed up.
Even during his PSLE year, he chose to continue.
And today, he took on a song slightly above his current level⦠and conquered it.
Talent may give someone a head start.
But consistency, resilience, and heart thatβs what builds growth.
Watching him over the years has reminded me why I teach.
The little sprout that refused to give up is finally growing into a strong tree π±π³
So, so proud of you. π

Exam results are never just about the marks. πΉ
They reflect consistency, patience, and the courage to keep showing upβeven on difficult days.
Iβm proud of my students for trusting the process and growing at their own pace:
β’ Xinyu β Grade 2 Merit (126/150)
β’ Elroy β Grade 3 Distinction (137/150)
β’ Charlotte β Grade 3 Distinction (134/150)
β’ Joseph β Grade 8 Distinction (140/150)
More than distinctions or merits, I value the discipline, confidence, and musical maturity they gain along the way π€

Today, our students participated in the 12th Asia Arts Festival, and I couldn't be prouder. Each of them stepped out of their comfort zones, pushed past their limits, and that, to me, is already a big win. πͺπΉ
This yearβs marking was noticeably stricter, and I understand some may feel a little disappointed. But remember β one result doesn't define your worth or progress. What matters most is your growth, your courage to perform, and the joy of sharing music. Keep going, and donβt lose heart. The journey is just as important as the outcome. πβ€οΈ
Watching these two perform their duet was such a proud and emotional moment for me. From their very first attempt to now, the growth is truly heartwarming. Their musical maturity, teamwork, and connection have all deepened so much, and it shows in every note they play.
What touches me most is not just how well they performed, but how theyβve grown together through music.
Wishing both of them all the best for their upcoming PSLE. Iβm cheering you on always β not just as your teacher, but as someone who truly believes in you. ππΆπ

πΉβ¨ Throwback to a Special December Performance! β¨πΉ
Last December, our young pianists had the opportunity to perform at the Singapore National Library! To kick off the event, six of our talented kids came together to play βI Love Coffee, I Love Teaβ. It was such a cute and fun way to ease their nerves and set a cheerful tone for the day.
Moments like these remind me of the joy music brings and the confidence it builds in young performers. So proud of how far theyβve come! π
