Selected from more than 18,000 nominations, this prestigious recognition celebrates Mr Yeoh’s unwavering care, dedication and positive influence on his students. More than an educator, he is a mentor and fatherly figure who supports his students beyond their academic journey.

At WRSS, we see this care in the many roles he plays. As a dedicated Mathematics teacher and Form Teacher, he builds genuine connections with his students — whether through everyday conversations, singing during CCE lessons or even taking the stage alongside them at talent shows. 🎤

As an NCDCC teacher, he shows that discipline and care can go hand in hand, guiding his cadets to grow in confidence, character and resilience.

As our Subject Head (Partnerships), he creates meaningful opportunities for students beyond the classroom — from serving the community to broadening their perspectives through learning about different cultures and experiences overseas. 🌏

His care extends to his colleagues too. Mr Yeoh is a dependable friend who is always ready to lend a hand, offer his support and step forward when someone needs help.

This remarkable achievement reflects the difference a caring teacher can make — through the lessons he teaches, the relationships he builds and the lives he touches.

We are beyond proud to celebrate the inspiring journey of our alumni, Encik Ashsufi Hussin! Featured recently in Berita Harian, Ashsufi—now an NTU Mechanical Engineering undergraduate—founded BrightGuides, a heartwarming initiative under MTFA providing free tuition to students from lower-income families. What began as a personal effort to help a motivated student overcome financial hurdles has now expanded into a dedicated community of over 40 volunteers, empowering students every week across multiple locations.

Ashsufi’s unwavering belief that a student’s potential should never be limited by their circumstances is a powerful reminder of the impact one person can make.

To our former Fuchun Secondary student: you have made our entire school community immensely proud! Your heart for service, leadership, and drive to uplift others embody the true spirit of our School of Opportunities. 💙

🎭🇸🇬 NATIONAL DAY 2026 | PART 3 OF 3: THE MUSICAL 🇸🇬🎶

We brought our National Day celebrations to a close with a very special musical — one that told a story close to our hearts: the journey of two schools coming together as one. ❤️

Through a story brought to life by our English Drama Club, we reflected on our shared journey, while our performing arts groups filled the stage with music and movement. We were treated to a medley of National Day songs by our Guzheng Ensemble, performances by Modern Dance and Cultural Dance, and beautiful voices from our Choir. 🎭💃🎶

The celebration continued with community singing as the whole school joined in crowd favourites such as The Road Ahead and Giants. 🇸🇬

The day also marked a special milestone for WRSS — the official unveiling of our new school song. ✨ After weeks of learning and practising it, our students and staff finally sang it together as one school — and with plenty of gusto! 🎶

We were also delighted to have members of our Parent Support Group join us for the celebrations. Thank you for taking the time to come down and celebrate this special occasion with the WRSS family! ❤️🤝

From two schools, we continue to build one WRSS, one shared story and one future together.

Every student penned a birthday wish for Singapore before bringing their individual messages together as a class to create one big Letter to SG. ✍️🇸🇬

The finished letters turned out beautifully, each one capturing the collective hopes and wishes of a class for the country we call home. What made them even more special were the many individual voices behind each creation. ❤️

We kicked off our National Day celebrations on 7 August with a proud display of unity and teamwork! ❤️🤍

Our cadets from NPCC, NCC, NCDCC and Girl Guides came together to put up our National Day Parade. Behind every crisp command and coordinated movement were weeks of training, preparation and hard work.

More than just a parade, it was a fitting reminder of what we can achieve when we work together with discipline, commitment and a shared purpose. 💪🇸🇬

A big thank you to our cadets and teachers for making the parade a memorable start to our celebrations!

A huge congratulations to our former Woodlands Ring Secondary School student, CFC Ahmad Khan Asfahan, for earning the prestigious Army NSF of the Year Award 2026! Our Singapore Army

This national honor is conferred on a select group of Full-time National Servicemen who demonstrate unwavering devotion to duty, exemplary leadership, and stellar performance throughout their service.

Asfahan's remarkable milestone shows us what happens when passion meets purpose. His journey reminds our entire WRSS family that true leadership is built on integrity, grit, and a heart for others - qualities that turn potential into real-world impact.

Two weeks ago, to celebrate Youth Day, our campus came alive for Anything But A Schoolbag Day.

From baskets to pillow cases, and cereal boxes to cooking pots, our students brought incredible ingenuity to school, proving that young minds see possibilities everywhere.

As we celebrated the vibrant spirit of our youth, we were also reminded that education is a privilege - one that not everyone around the world has easy access to. By stepping into school with unconventional 'bags', our students saw a glimpse of this reality, letting empathy shine alongside their creativity.

A massive thank you to everyone who took part and made the day so eventful!

Youth is a season of courage, growth, resilience and endless possibilities.

To our students: keep dreaming boldly, learning fearlessly and rising stronger with every challenge.

The future is not something you simply wait for. It is something you create, and we cannot wait to see the difference you will make.

🎓 Investiture of the 2nd Student Leaders Council

Last Friday, we proudly invested our 2nd Student Leaders Council, alongside our CCA Leaders and Peer Support Leaders, as they begin a new chapter of service and leadership at WRSS.

Our Principal, Mr Lam Yui-P'ng, reminded us that leadership is not about being the most talented, but about consistently embodying the right values. As our newly appointed leaders take on their roles, we hope they will lead with integrity, compassion and purpose.

As we welcome our new leaders, we also extend our heartfelt appreciation to the 1st Student Leaders Council. Thank you for your dedication, service and commitment in paving the way for future generations of leaders at WRSS. We wish you all the very best as you prepare for your national examinations.
