Before the cookies take shape, teamwork does. ๐ช๐ค
Aprons on, hands in the dough. Pfizer joined Flour Power's Bake with Compassion workshop for a session that put communication, trust and collaboration into practice.
Through baking activities paired with simulated sensory restrictions, participants were encouraged to slow down, explain a little more clearly and find ways to tackle each task together.
A simple question, "How can I help?", can change how a team works. So can taking the time to listen to the answer. ๐
The session also included exposure to our MicroJob programme through Kopi Kaki, where our youths served beverages and refreshments as part of a real-world work experience. More than learning how to prepare and serve drinks, these opportunities help our Kopi Kakiers build essential workplace soft skills such as adaptability, flexibility and resilience. Each deployment brings different environments, people and situations, encouraging them to adjust, problem-solve and respond confidently to real workplace demands while strengthening their communication and customer service skills.
Just as participants learned the importance of collaboration in the kitchen, our youths experienced first-hand what it means to contribute meaningfully in a work setting, one interaction at a time.
