A very chilled game master, Kriday, hosting the kahoot.
The kids revise their chords through games, just before their Performance Class.

Carryn And Sara plays When the Saint Goes Marching In.
With the concert brought forward and school exams just completing around the same time, they barely had any time to practise together. Just a few days before the concert, they were still struggling with the syncopation, pulse and articulation — the piece even fell apart halfway during rehearsal!
Thankfully, everything came together beautifully on the actual day.
Special thanks to Teacher Jaime Yaw and Teacher Vise for providing the “tuba” and drums!

Ennox and Elliora perform When You Believe.
This performance came together quite last-minute.
We had to bring our concert forward this year.
The kids only had two rehearsals, as both were still busy with their final-year exams. Elliora even rushed straight from school to join the practice session. There were a few hiccups along the way — I had to revise and find a key that suited our little trumpeter’s range and our pianist's reading skill.
She turned out with a non-transposed copy, so she had to quickly adjust her pitch during the first rehearsal. And go on stage without warming up.
This is also Ennox’s first attempt on learning entirely from a fake sheet and accompanying. He has to learn to lead and ended up with a few comical posture during the rehearsals. Luckily he nailed it on the actual day.
He used to struggle with keeping a steady pulse during his first two years, but he has improved tremendously.
20251109 Jamming:
Ella plays 城里的月光
Ella is learning to comp and sing — this was her second attempt.
In her first concert at 1-Nov concert, she sat too far forward as she tried to get closer to the mic, which made it hard for her to play with locked arms. She also wasn’t sure how to position her head with the mic, and we didn’t adjust it for her then. This time, both of us came better prepared with a little more experience.
She also had to perform together with another instrument without any rehearsal, which required a lot of focus. It was a big step up in challenge for her — and she did really well!
Special thanks to Teacher Vise for providing the drums, and to Snow Dance Studio for the venue.
