As we welcome the Year of the Horse, may its spirit of strength, vitality, and courage inspire us to move forward with renewed energy and purpose. The horse symbolizes resilience and unity, reminding us that together as a community we can overcome challenges and create brighter tomorrows.
This new year, let’s celebrate inclusion, embrace diversity, and cherish the bonds of family and friendship that keep us grounded. May your days be filled with peace, stability, and success, and may the Horse carry us all toward new opportunities and shared success.

Seeing leadership differently: Why darkness is the ultimate HR tool - HRM Asia 08/02/2026

What can a world without sight teach a world obsessed with appearances?

We are thrilled to see HRM Asia highlighting the profound impact of immersive learning.

In darkness, the usual hierarchy dissolves. Visual cues, titles, and unconscious biases fade away, leaving space for genuine, human connection.

At Dialogue in the Dark Singapore, we witness remarkable shifts in teams:

- Barriers dissolve when identity is no longer visible.
- Listening sharpens when it becomes the only compass.
- Empathy deepens because it’s the only way forward.

As the article highlights, darkness is more than an experience. It’s a catalyst for cultural change in organizations.

Ready to "see" what your team is truly capable of when they stop "looking" and start listening?

Seeing leadership differently: Why darkness is the ultimate HR tool - HRM Asia Dialogue in the Dark Singapore challenges leaders to step beyond comfort zones, showing how vulnerability, trust, and empathy in immersive experiences can transform teams, organisations, and the way we lead.

It’s World Sight Day!
This year’s theme “Love Your Eyes”, is a reminder to pause, step away from our screens, and care for the gift of sight.
In Singapore, myopia is more than just needing glasses, it’s one of our biggest eye health challenges.
A few small habits today can make a big difference tomorrow.

Doctors are admirable and noble figures, but how many of them are visually impaired? Enter the world of Jacob Bolotin, the world’s first blind physician!

Born totally blind on 3 January 1888 to two immigrants in Chicago, USA, Bolotin faced several challenges and setbacks such as social stigma on the blind. Nonetheless, these did not stop him from pursuing his dream of becoming a doctor. Against all odds, he worked hard and achieved his goal, advocating for the visually impaired alongside helping patients.

Bolotin’s resilience and determination is a testament to the human spirit - with courage and will, even the seemingly impossible can be achieved.

Happy Visually Impaired People Day!

Every year on June 6th, this day is celebrated to support those who are visually impaired or blind. Founded in 1988, this day encourages both the sighted and the visually impaired to interact with one another. This helps us to overcoming challenges and strengthening perceptions.

Similarly, in Dialogue In the Dark, we aim to create dialogue between the visually impaired, helping to build bridges and create a more inclusive society. Let’s help to create a supportive environment where we can help them thrive!

“It is only with the heart that one can see rightly. What is essential is invisible to the eye.”
-Antoine de Saint Exupery (The Little Prince)

We may think that what we have right now is what we need, but do they really matter?

As Antoine de Saint Exupery writes in his memorable classic The Little Prince, the things that really do matter cannot be physically seen; and can only be felt through your heart.

At Dialogue in the Dark, the things that we hold in our hearts are the values of inclusivity, empathy and living in harmony with the visually-impaired people around us. Visit and let us open your heart on how we can help the visually-impaired today!
