Instead of a traditional canvas, our little artists discovered the exciting world of painting on tin foil - experimenting with colours, textures and patterns while creating their own unique masterpieces.

Through this engaging open-ended art experience, the children:

Our children had a truly memorable National Day celebration filled with meaningful experiences, laughter and togetherness.

One of the highlights was visiting **St. John Home**, where our children proudly shared the joy and spirit of National Day through their cheerful performances and heartfelt interactions with the elderly residents. Their smiles, songs and thoughtful gestures brought warmth to everyone and reminded us of the importance of showing kindness, respect and care for our seniors.

Back at school, the celebrations continued with exciting National Day-themed activities, games and creative experiences that helped our children learn more about Singapore's rich heritage and values. Dressed in red and white, they sang patriotic songs with pride and enjoyed a day filled with fun, friendship and the true spirit of being Singaporean.

At Rainbow Cove @ Butterfly, we believe that National Day is not only a celebration of our nation's achievements but also an opportunity to nurture gratitude, compassion and a sense of belonging in every child.

Our children had a wonderful time exploring the fascinating world of nature through our Leaf Rubbing & Texture Talk activity!🍀Using a variety of leaves, they created beautiful sensory art while discovering the unique textures, shapes, patterns and sizes of each leaf.🍂

🌿As they observed and explored, the children used descriptive language to share what they could see and feel, enriching their vocabulary and communication skills. ☘️They also learned that no two leaves are exactly alike, developing an early understanding of the diversity found in nature.

👐Through this hands-on experience, the children gained a deeper appreciation of how plants grow and change over time, fostering curiosity, observation skills and a love for the natural environment. Our children had a wonderful time celebrating Racial Harmony Day! Dressed in beautiful traditional costumes, they explored Singapore's rich multicultural heritage through fun-filled activities, songs, stories and hands-on experiences.

It was a meaningful day of learning as our little ones discovered the importance of respecting, appreciating and embracing the diverse cultures that make Singapore so unique. ❤️🤝

Today, our children came together to create a beautiful Unity Handprint Mural, with each child contributing their own colourful handprint to represent the importance of unity and belonging.

Through this meaningful collaborative activity, the children strengthened their fine motor skills and eye-hand coordination while expressing their creativity. More importantly, they developed valuable social-emotional skills by learning to cooperate, respect one another and appreciate the uniqueness and diversity that each friend brings to the group.

🐙🌭 Squid Sausage Fun! 🌭🐙

Our little chefs had a fantastic time creating their own Squid Sausages! Through this fun hands-on cooking activity, the children explored basic food preparation by carefully transforming sausages into adorable octopus shapes using safe tools and ingredients.

As they cut, prepared and watched their creations come to life, the children strengthened their fine motor skills, eye-hand coordination and creativity while developing imaginative thinking and early kitchen confidence. It was a wonderful opportunity to encourage independence, problem-solving and a positive attitude towards food preparation in a safe and engaging environment.

Our little explorers had an exciting time participating in our "Hatching Turtle Eggs" activity! Using baking soda and vinegar, the children watched their turtle eggs fizz and bubble as they "hatched," bringing science to life through hands-on discovery.

As they carefully poured, squeezed and observed the exciting chemical reaction, the children explored the concept of cause and effect while strengthening their fine motor skills and eye-hand coordination.

Our little artists had a wonderful time designing their very own mirrors using soft clay and dried flowers! 🌼🪞

🌱🍨 Little Hands, Big Discoveries in Our Mini Garden Dessert Activity! 🍨🌱

Our children had a wonderful time creating their very own Mini Garden Desserts! Through this fun and hands-on experience, they explored creativity, sensory play and fine motor skills as they carefully layered ingredients and decorated their edible garden masterpieces.

From scooping and sprinkling to designing colourful "garden" scenes, the children demonstrated focus, patience and imagination while having lots of fun with their friends.
