Woke up one morning last week to see this lovely post on my whatsapp - a sec 2 class that appreciated my music lessons this year. Indeed a happy morning present❤️🎶

Wonderful showcase of students in my music class. These were the Sec 2s and 4s who were taking music as an elective subject. Most scored As in their final assesment projects which included combining their music performance with art n visuals as well as performing a fusion of classical n rock. They excelled and did well through focus and determination. So proud of them 🥰🎶

Contemplation (c) by Boni de Souza Morning is a time we contemplate and this is what led to a theme which remained in my psyche till I recorded it on the piano. After that the strings, rhythm and bass complements just came naturally.

The primary aim of Arts Experience Programs that come in the form of either a day's workshop or spread over a few sessions is for students to experience an art form so as to absorb and understand the various mental processes required for each task.

These mental processes help create a more discerning individual which in turn helps to create a more disciplined learner who understands what is needed to achieve goals, whether in academic studies or the completion of tasks.

Our Arts Experience Programs at De Souza Music have been designed with this in mind as a result of studies and research referencing the feedback from students that we have engaged in various artistic endeavours, whether it be achieving fluency at their instrument or reaching greater expressivity in their performance.
