💧 World Water Day at Frontier Primary School 💧
Every year, the PUB, Singapore's National Water Agency organises the Singapore World Water Day campaign to remind us how precious water is and why it is important to use it wisely. The 2026 theme, “Our Water Makes Every Moment Count,” highlights how the small choices we make each day can help safeguard Singapore’s water future.
Frontier Primary School commemorated World Water Day on Thursday, 12 March 2026 with a meaningful recess activity. Our Frontierers created their own water-saving pledges, reflecting on simple ways they can conserve water in their daily lives. The activity encouraged students to share ideas and make personal commitments towards responsible water use.
Members of the Environmental Science CCA also delivered a pre-assembly sharing, helping their peers learn more about Singapore’s water story and the importance of sustainability.
Through these activities, our Frontierers not only deepened their understanding of water conservation but also practised collaboration, communication and environmental responsibility 🌏💙
Small actions make a big difference — and together, we can ensure that every drop counts.

Over the past eight weeks, our Primary 3 Frontierers have been making remarkable progress in the SwimSafer 2.0 Programme! 🌊💦
As part of our Physical Education curriculum, students developed essential water safety knowledge and aquatic skills — from improving their water confidence and mastering fundamental strokes to learning safe water survival techniques.
Beyond skill acquisition, the programme also nurtured resilience, discipline and teamwork. Lessons were filled with energy and encouragement as students supported one another and celebrated each milestone together.
We are proud of all our P3 Frontierers for their commitment and perseverance throughout the programme.

On Monday, 9 March 2026, our Frontierers had an exciting time at the Maker Workshop as they explored the use of 3D pens ✨
From simple outlines to imaginative creations, ideas came to life as students boldly experimented with shapes, structures and colours to design and build their own 3D models.
Through this hands-on experience, Frontierers also practised important E21CC skills such as Inventive Thinking, Collaboration and Communication. They brainstormed ideas, shared suggestions and refined their designs together through trial and error.
Smiles lit up their faces as their creations gradually took shape, each model reflecting the creativity, perseverance and teamwork of our young makers.
Well done to our Frontierers for turning their ideas into reality! 🎨

💙 Softballers Making a Difference Through VIA 💙
Our Softball Senior Division CCA members recently extended their learning beyond the field through a meaningful Values-in-Action (VIA) engagement with Loving Heart Active Ageing Centre.
As part of our Maker Education initiative, our students guided the seniors in upcycling old clothing into a practical no-sew tote bag. Through clear demonstrations, patient guidance, and warm interactions, they transformed simple materials into useful creations — while building meaningful intergenerational connections.
The session provided authentic opportunities for our students to demonstrate key E21CC competencies, particularly:
• Communication skills
• Collaboration skills
Beyond skill development, this engagement also supports our school’s commitment to sustainability. By promoting upcycling, our students are learning to reduce waste and reimagine everyday materials in environmentally responsible ways.
We are proud of our softballers for stepping up as confident communicators, thoughtful collaborators, and responsible citizens.

From 24 to 27 February, our Primary 5 students embarked on an enriching journey through their Interdisciplinary Project Work (IPW). Over the four days, they had valuable opportunities to collaborate with peers from different classes, learning to appreciate diverse perspectives while building strong teamwork.
By applying their E21CC skills — particularly collaboration and communication — students worked diligently to conduct research, develop presentation slides, and refine their ideas. The project culminated in confident presentations to their peers, where they shared their learning on environmental conservation.
Throughout the process, students also drew meaningful connections across subjects, applying knowledge from English, Mathematics and Science to deepen their understanding.
It was truly heartening to see our students grow, bond and learn together through this purposeful and memorable experience 🌱

Our students had an enriching and meaningful learning experience when the National Kidney Foundation (NKF) visited Frontier Primary School last week to share about kidney health and the realities faced by patients undergoing dialysis.
Through an engaging and age-appropriate session, students gained a deeper understanding of:
• What dialysis patients go through
• Why kidney health is important
• How daily lifestyle choices impact long-term health
The session strongly reinforced the importance of making wise food choices and adopting healthy eating habits from a young age.
This learning experience aligns closely with our Grow Well SG movement and supports our Term 1 “Eat Well” Challenge (Week 5–8). As students build healthier habits — such as consuming fruits and vegetables regularly and choosing water over sweetened drinks — they are also learning the why behind these choices.
At Frontier, we believe that empowering students with knowledge enables them to take ownership of their well-being. Small daily decisions today can lead to healthier tomorrows.
A big thank you to NKF for partnering with us in nurturing informed and health-conscious students! 🌱🥗💧

In conjunction with Chinese New Year (Year of the Horse) and Total Defence Day, Frontier Primary School organised the Ang Bao Design Art Competition in early February. 🎨🐎
The competition sought to nurture students’ creativity while deepening their appreciation of cultural traditions and national values. Our Frontierers thoughtfully designed Ang Baos that captured the joy of the festive season alongside meaningful themes of unity and resilience. Two winners from each level were selected to receive attractive prizes and certificates in recognition of their outstanding designs.
Throughout the process, students exemplified the school’s G.R.E.A.T. culture — demonstrating graciousness in appreciating their peers’ work, applying rigour in refining their designs, and exercising strong thinking skills to communicate purposeful ideas through art.
The competition provided a meaningful platform for creative expression while strengthening students’ cultural awareness and national consciousness. 🇸🇬

Our Primary 4 and Primary 6 Environmental Science CCA students extended their learning beyond the classroom through a meaningful Values-in-Action (VIA) initiative. 🌱
After cultivating and harvesting spinach using Frontier’s hydroponics system at Eco-Wonders, they visited NTUC Senior Day Care to personally gift their produce to the seniors. The experience deepened their understanding of sustainable urban farming in land-scarce Singapore while fostering warm intergenerational connections.
Through this integrated journey, students discovered how science can serve both sustainability goals and community needs. The hydroponics project became more than a lesson in plant growth — it was a lived expression of values in action.
At Frontier Primary, our young eco-stewards are learning that sustainability is not only about growing food, but also about growing hearts — applying knowledge with purpose while strengthening community bonds. 🌿

This year, Frontierers stepped into a vibrant celebration of Chinese New Year and Total Defence Day with the theme “龙马精神迎新春” (Welcoming the New Year with the Spirit of the Dragon and Horse) — a call to move forward with energy, courage and unity as we keep Singapore strong together 💪🇸🇬
In the days leading up to the celebration, excitement filled the school as students showcased their creativity through the Ang Bao Design Competition and lifted spirits with joyful morning community singing 🎨🎵
Last Monday, the festivities began with hands-on classroom craft activities, setting the stage for an immersive hall adventure. The highlight was an engaging quest to recover six missing golden horseshoes needed to defeat Nian. Each horseshoe symbolised one of the six pillars of Total Defence — a powerful reminder that every one of us plays a vital role in safeguarding our nation.
The concert that followed was a wonderful showcase of talent and school spirit. The audience enjoyed an exciting wushu performance, a graceful guzheng performance, a lively teachers’ item and an adorable MOE Kindergarten performance. Adding to the festive atmosphere, our Primary 5 and Primary 6 students proudly served as Guardians of the Stable, donning the mascot costumes they had designed and created earlier 🐎
The hall resonated with voices during the Total Defence Day and Chinese New Year sing-along, bringing everyone together in celebration. The festivities concluded with a thrilling lion dance alongside the horse mascots — a truly energetic and memorable finale 🎶
It was a day filled with laughter, teamwork and shared pride, as Frontierers honoured traditions while embracing resilience and the strength of our community.

What would you do if the lights went out — or if you suddenly lost digital connectivity?
Although Total Defence Day falls on 15 February, Frontier Primary School commemorated it in Week 6 (9–13 February), providing our Frontierers with meaningful opportunities to reflect on how each of us can play a part in keeping Singapore strong 🇸🇬
On 9 February, students explored the importance of Digital and Military Defence through an engaging police car exhibition and interactive Cyber Wellness recess booths, held in conjunction with Safer Internet Day 2026. These experiences deepened their understanding of online safety and strengthened their appreciation for those who safeguard our nation.
Our Primary 6 students also participated in the SG Unite! Card Game, where they navigated real-world scenarios and discovered how every individual contributes to Total Defence. Through teamwork, resilience and looking out for one another, they reinforced key aspects of Social and Psychological Defence.
On 13 February, the school conducted Exercise SG Ready 2026, simulating digital connectivity and power disruption scenarios. This highlighted the importance of Civil Defence and the need to remain calm and responsive during emergencies. Students also took part in a fire drill, strengthening their readiness and reinforcing the importance of staying alert and composed in times of crisis.
Through these shared experiences, our Frontierers gained a deeper appreciation of how disruptions can impact daily life — and how our collective strength, including our shared responsibility in Economic Defence, keeps our nation resilient.
Total Defence is not just about responding to challenges; it is about being prepared, caring for one another and staying united as a community. Together, we keep Singapore strong. 💪🇸🇬

Our first MakerEd workshop, “Amazing Shrinking Plastics!”, was successfully held on 4 February 2026 in collaboration with the Community Services Committee 🎨✨
During the workshop, our Frontierers unleashed their creativity by sketching and shrinking their own personalised keychains — watching their designs transform into sturdy, miniature keepsakes.
“It was so cool to see my drawing shrink into a real keychain!” exclaimed one student as he proudly admired his creation.
Equipped with their new crafting skills, our Frontierers are now preparing for the next phase of their journey — training to become student facilitators. In the upcoming sessions, they will guide elderly members of our community in creating their own shrinking plastic art, fostering meaningful intergenerational bonding through shared creativity.
We look forward to seeing our students continue to learn, serve and inspire through hands-on experiences 💛🌟
