π Bridging Course Has Begun!
On August 2, the first batch of JPE Bridging Course students attended their first offline training session.
Beyond professional caregiving knowledge and skills, JPE places great importance on the emotional well-being and mental resilience of caregivers. During this session, we conducted an Emotional Wellbeing Workshop to support our students in developing a healthier mindset and stronger emotional resilience.
Through this workshop, students learned about:
β’ Understanding mental well-being and its importance
β’ Recognising signs of stress, anxiety, depression, and caregiver burnout
β’ Common emotional challenges faced by caregivers
β’ Basic communication and active listening skills
β’ Stress management techniques, including breathing exercises, relaxation, and mindfulness
β’ Self-care strategies and maintaining a healthy work-life balance
β’ When and how to seek professional support and access mental health resources
We believe that caring for others begins with caring for oneself.
By strengthening these skills, our students can better manage their own well-being and develop the emotional resilience needed to provide compassionate, person-centred care for seniors.
JPE is committed to nurturing not only skilled caregivers, but also caregivers who demonstrate empathy, resilience, and a strong sense of responsibility.

π Hot Weather, Donβt Forget to Protect Older Adults from Dehydration!
As people age, their sense of thirst may become weaker. Older adults may not realize they need water, even when their body is already dehydrated.
π§ Dehydration may cause:
β οΈ Dizziness and weakness
β οΈ Changes in alertness or mood
β οΈ Higher risk of falls and heat-related illness
β€οΈ Care Tips:
π¦ Encourage small, frequent sips of water throughout the day.
π Offer water-rich foods such as fruits and soup.
π Watch for signs like dry lips, dark urine, or unusual tiredness.
Professional care starts with noticing the small changes.
At JPE (SG) Care and Welfare Education, our Japanese-inspired caregiving courses help caregivers develop skills in health observation, risk prevention, and daily care support β providing safer and more compassionate care for older adults.
π± Learn professional caregiving skills and protect the health and dignity of every senior.
