Speak with heart. ๐
That was the theme of our chapter meeting last night and every single speaker made sure to live up to it.
TM Chetan Kushte took home Best Speaker with a speech on space and spirituality. Thought-provoking, deeply reflective, and delivered with a presence that captured the room's attention from the first word to the last.
Best Table Topics went to TM Hyder Taufik, who turned a simple question "What's a small act of kindness that made a big impact on you?" into a powerful personal story. He shared how, in the early days of struggling to build his coaching business, a mentor offered him a month of free coaching. One month later, he closed two clients and his business, and life, changed course. A small act. A big impact. Exactly the theme, exactly the heart.
Speaking of heart, special mention to our Table Topics Master, TM Neha, whose thoughtfully prepared questions stayed true to the theme and gave speakers the space to share genuinely heartfelt, meaningful answers.
Best Evaluator honors went to TM Aaron, a visiting Toastmaster who brought sharp, generous feedback to the table.
TM Michael Rahardjo stepped up as Toastmaster of the Day for the very first time and led the meeting with confidence and heart of his own. TM Tanushree Jhajharia delivered a thoughtful Language Evaluation, giving us the word of the day: sincere. A fitting word for a night where every speaker showed up authentic, open, and true to themselves. TM Zephan Wong closed things out with an insightful General Evaluation.
It was also wonderful watching our newer members take on their first-ever roles Gyanesh Solanki as SAA, Ellen as Timer, and Klement Lek as Ah-Counter. Small steps, but each one a big part of their growth journey.
An energizing night, full of heart, sincerity, and growth exactly what Toastmasters is all about. ๐
