Leong Shi Xuan (Chemistry & Biological Chemistry, Class of 2018 π) recently joined CCEB (Chemistry) as an Assistant Professor in October 2025.
Looking back on her time in CNYSP, she shares how the programme gave her valuable research opportunities, mentorship, and experiences that shaped her academic journey. These early experiences helped nurture her curiosity in science and set the foundation for the career she pursues today. π§ͺπππ

Weβre so proud to celebrate Heng Yan Ying, a Year 4 scholar from Environmental Earth Systems Science! She has been awarded 2025 Highly Commended in Earth & Environmental by the Global Undergraduate Awards! π

Yan Ying expresses her heartfelt thanks to her supervisor Shu Fang for her patience and guidance throughout the project, for being so willing to answer even the smallest of questions and providing her insightful feedback. She would also like to thank Prof Xian Feng and CN Yang Scholars Programme for the support and allowing her to do research in marine chemistry which is a field that she has always been curious about.
