Yan Ying expresses her heartfelt thanks to her supervisor Shu Fang for her patience and guidance throughout the project, for being so willing to answer even the smallest of questions and providing her insightful feedback. She would also like to thank Prof Xian Feng and CN Yang Scholars Programme for the support and allowing her to do research in marine chemistry which is a field that she has always been curious about.
