“Some of my most treasured childhood memories were made in primary school.
The friendships, the laughter, the teachers who shaped who I am today.
Even now, seeing my ex-teachers brings back a wave of warmth and nostalgia that never quite fades.
洪老师 was my very first teacher, who taught me in pre-primary. I had the privilege of meeting her again at PHPPS 135th Anniversary Dinner in 2024 — and in that moment that I realised it’s her, decades just melted away.
I think that moment said it all.
Some memories never leave you.
And maybe that’s why I keep coming back to volunteer for PHPPS Alumni.
Because giving back feels less like a duty, and more like coming home.
If you’ve ever felt that pull…come volunteer, reconnect, and rediscover a part of yourself you didn’t even know you were missing.” ~Tan Yi-Fang, Class of 1991
