Maybe we don’t become old because we become one year older.

Maybe we become old when we stop being curious.

When we stop exploring.
When we stop taking chances.
When we stop learning.
When “I wonder…” slowly becomes “I already know.”

That thought scares me more than getting older.

I want to keep the curiosity of a cat. 🐈

See something unfamiliar?
Go closer.

Hear a strange sound?
Investigate.

Find a closed door?
Wonder what is behind it.

Of course, curiosity sometimes gets the cat into trouble. 😄

But isn’t that also the life of an entrepreneur?

We try.
We fail.
We learn.
We laugh.
We recover.
Then somehow… we become curious enough to try again.

The danger of becoming experienced is that experience can quietly become certainty.

We start saying:

“I’ve seen this before.”
“That won’t work.”
“We tried it years ago.”
“This industry doesn’t work that way.”

And one day, without noticing it, we stop discovering.

So no matter how successful we become, I hope we never lose three things:

The curiosity of a child.
The courage of an entrepreneur.
The humility of a lifelong student.

Learn from someone half your age.

Try something you are terrible at.

Ask questions you are afraid might sound stupid.

Explore AI, new technology, new businesses, new cultures and new ideas.

And once in a while, take a calculated risk simply because your heart whispers:

“I wonder what could happen…”

Growing older is inevitable.

Growing old in our thinking is optional.

Keep that cat-like curiosity alive. 🐈‍⬛

There is still so much of this world we haven’t discovered yet.

3 different businesses.
3 different minds.
1 shared belief: Entrepreneurship can change lives.

The three of us run our own businesses separately.

We came together through BNI Synergy.

But what brought us closer wasn’t simply networking.

It was a shared belief in entrepreneurship — and an equally strong belief that entrepreneurs should never be afraid to think differently.

We question assumptions.
We challenge conventional wisdom.
We don’t always agree with one another.

And that’s exactly the point.

Because three people thinking alike can reinforce the same blind spots.
Three people thinking differently can reveal possibilities none of us could see alone.

That became the foundation of Divergent Entrepreneur Academy.

We didn’t start it because the world needs another business course.

We started it because the next generation of entrepreneurs will need more than knowledge.

They need the courage to question.
The ability to adapt.
The discipline to execute.
And the confidence to diverge when everyone else converges.

In yesterday’s world, entrepreneurs were taught to follow proven formulas.

In tomorrow’s world, the formula itself may keep changing.

Don’t just learn how to run a business.
Learn how to think like an entrepreneur.

That is what Divergent means to us.

Three entrepreneurs.
Three perspectives.
One academy.

And perhaps the beginning of something much bigger.

When everyone is thinking in the same direction, who is looking in the direction nobody else sees?

Confidence gives you the courage to start.
Conviction gives you the strength to keep going.
Excellence gives you the discipline to finish well.

Every entrepreneurial journey begins with a decision.

You may not have all the answers.
You may not feel completely ready.
You may still face uncertainty, setbacks and self-doubt.

But progress does not begin with perfect conditions.

It begins with confidence — the belief that you can take the first step.

It continues with conviction — the inner strength to stay committed when the journey becomes difficult.

And it is completed through excellence — the discipline to improve, deliver and finish with pride.

At Divergent Entrepreneur Academy, we help aspiring entrepreneurs and business owners develop the mindset, capabilities and resilience needed to turn ideas into meaningful outcomes.

Start with Confidence.
Stay with Conviction.
Finish with Excellence.

The human element is the hardest part of any deal

Mr Chiang gets honest about the reality of betrayal in business. He explains that whether you are dealing with friends or long-term partners, the human factor is often the most unpredictable variable. He uses the structure of the Chinese character for "person" to illustrate how individuals can shift and change, emphasizing that true partnership must be built on mutual benefit and accountability.
