The Making of Our Student Council Leaders
At Clementi Primary, every student voice matters — and we love celebrating the courage it takes to speak up, step up and lead.
Behind every badge is a journey of courage, heart and growth.
This year, four of our Clementians — Rashana, Jia Le, Natalie and Lulu — stepped up and put themselves forward for the presidential election. From presenting on stage in front of 1000+ students, to recess rallies, to interviews with school leaders, they gave it their all every single step of the way.
It was not easy. There were nerves, trembling hands and pounding hearts. But there was also encouragement, friendship and the quiet determination to go beyond.
Here's what Rashana, elected Vice President from 5 Responsibility had written about her journey:
"It all started when Ms Pek asked me — 'Are you okay to take part in the presidential election?' I could not believe it. I was on cloud nine! I was trembling as I stumbled onto the stage, suddenly seeing 1000+ students in the school. But clutching my script, I recited the entire thing without a single mistake. The recess rallies, the interview with school leaders, the nerve-wracking wait for results — every step of the way, my friends kept me going. Even though I did not win, I am proud of myself for getting this far. Thank you, school, for helping me go this far."
At the Student Council Investiture, our new council members proudly recited the Student Council pledge and collected their badges from the principal — a moment that marked not just an achievement, but a commitment to lead with purpose and serve with heart.
To our Student Council leaders — thank you for showing every Clementian that your voice matters, your courage inspires, and your heart makes our school stronger. We are so proud of each and every one of you.

Always a Clementian, always a Singaporean.
The memories from our National Day celebrations are still fresh in our hearts.
We kicked things off with a trip back in time at the Singapore's Past Exhibition — traditional games, nostalgic artefacts and all the feels.
Recess came alive all week with Recital@Recess — our pianists, drummers, singers and even our Vice Principals performed NDP favourites like Home and The Road Ahead. And our multicultural ensemble? Tabla, erhu, bansuri, cajon, cello — Singapore in every note.
The Open Mic gave students the spotlight to shine spontaneously. The applause said it all!
Our Observance Ceremony was solemn and heartfelt. Reciting the Pledge together felt especially meaningful this year — 60 years of a promise we continue to keep.
Our skit "We Choose Singapore, Together" brought the house down, and the Dance of the Nation Workout had everyone on their feet!
The PAM Carnival wrapped it all up beautifully — tattoos, badge-making, angklung jamming, kite flying, traditional games, and of course... kueh tutu, kacang puteh and malt candy.
National Day may be over, but the spirit of Majulah Singapura never stops. Every morning, we sing our anthem and recite our Pledge together — not just as words, but as a daily reminder of who we are and what we stand for. As Clementians, we carry that pride beyond 9 August, going beyond in our classrooms, our communities and everything we do.
Here's to 61 years of progress, unity and colour — and to the many more chapters ahead.

Majulah Singapura, Go Beyond! | National School Games 2026
On the eve of National Day, we celebrate the young Clementians who took to the national stage with determination, resilience and heart!
Congratulations to Ma Yijia (P6 Empathy) and Ruan Sihan (P5 Empathy) for representing Clementi Primary School at the NSG Wushu Competition in Term 2.
Yijia brought home three Bronze Medals in Senior Girls 24-Style Taijiquan, 42-Style Taijijian and 5-Duan Spear, and was also awarded the Sportsmanship Certificate. Sihan competed in the Junior Boys 4-Duan Cudgel and 3-Duan Changquan events, and equally earned the Sportsmanship Certificate for his positive sporting spirit.
We are proud of both of you for your commitment, discipline and courage at the national level. Congratulations, and we wish you continued success in your Wushu journey!

We are proud of our gymnasts who represented Clementi Primary School at the NSG 2026 Artistic and Rhythmic Gymnastics, held at the Bishan Indoor Sports Hall.
In Artistic Gymnastics, congratulations to Ma Yiyi (P2 Integrity) and our Senior Girls Team — Galadriel Goh Yi Ning (P4 Integrity), Lee Hui Jia Samantha (P6 Empathy) and Ng Shyuan Tze Aurora (P4 Teamwork). A special shoutout to Ma Yiyi and Galadriel for each receiving the Sportsmanship Certificate!
In Rhythmic Gymnastics, congratulations to Shi Yixiao (P5 Respect), Tabitha Chen Yue Yi (P6 Respect) and Yap Hua Rong Sophia (P4 Harmony). A special congratulations to Shi Yixiao for her achievements — Bronze Medal in Hoop and Club, and 5th Position in the All Around Final! Congratulations also to Tabitha for receiving the Sportsmanship Certificate.
Well done to all our gymnasts for representing the school with excellence, resilience and sportsmanship. We are proud of you!

On the eve of National Day, we celebrate not just our nation, but the young Clementians who are making us proud on the national stage!
Congratulations to Fan Weizhen from P3 Integrity on her outstanding performance at the National School Games (NSG) Junior Division Girls' Singles Tournament, held at Oasis Primary School on 15 July 2026!
Weizhen displayed remarkable skill, determination and composure, winning all four of her qualification matches to emerge as the No. 1 seed heading into the next round of the competition. What an incredible achievement for a Primary 3 student!
We are incredibly proud of you, Weizhen, and wish you all the best as you continue your NSG journey.

On the eve of National Day, we feature a piece written by Natalie Wong from P5 Perseverance, sharing her heartfelt account of this year's NE Show.
"They took away the Red Lions, but overall, it wasn't that bad." — Guo Runke, P5 Perseverance
The 900m walk from the MRT station was tiring, and we waited an hour for the train. But it was all worth it when I spotted the goodie bag at my seat — savoury sweet potato chips and a Chia Seed jelly drink. The soft, smooth jelly slid down my throat. How refreshing!
When the staff handed out light-up wristbands and I saw everyone's light up together, I was instantly mesmerised. It looked absolutely beautiful!
The first half of the show was a little slow — I even spotted people on their phones! But my favourite moment was a service dog guiding its owner. It was utterly adorable and stole everyone's hearts.
Then Iman Fandi appeared atop a giant white cube, singing Giants angelically under dazzling lights. Shortly after — "BOOM! BOOM!" — the fireworks lit up the sky.
As we packed up to leave, a DJ played Not Alone by Benjamin Kheng — my favourite NDP song. I sang my heart out. This was once in a lifetime, after all!
This experience will be etched in my memory forever.
At our school, we believe every Clementian has a story worth telling. We are proud to celebrate and amplify the voices of our young learners — today and every day.

On the eve of National Day, we celebrate one of our Clementians who has truly gone beyond — congratulations to Vihaan Varun Iyer from P3 Perseverance on a season of remarkable growth and perseverance on the squash court!
Competing in the Boys' Under-9 category, Vihaan showed incredible determination across three national competitions this year. He started his season with a 6th place finish at the ONCOCARE 2026 SG Squash Junior Circuit 1 in April, before climbing to a Bronze Medal at the VITAGEN 2026 SG Squash Junior Circuit 2 in June, and capping off his season with a brilliant Silver Medal at the ACTIVE SG Pesta Sukan 2026 in July.
From 6th place to the podium — that is what perseverance looks like!
As a student from P3 Perseverance, Vihaan has truly lived up to his class name, inspiring all of us to keep pushing forward no matter where we start.
Well done, Vihaan!

Majulah Singapura, Go Beyond!

On the eve of National Day, we celebrate one of our Clementians who has truly gone beyond — congratulations to Avelyn Cheah Rae En from P5 Responsibility on two wonderful achievements!

Avelyn recently clinched 2nd place in the National School Games Taekwondo competition (Junior Girls Category), and on 25 July, she attained the Chief Commissioner's Award Badge — the highest achievement a Brownie can earn.

As a Student Leader in our Taekwondo CCA, Avelyn not only leads by example but actively encourages her peers to push their limits. Through the external Community Guiding programme with Agnes 1st Pack, she has also dedicated her time to serving and uplifting her community beyond the school gates.

We love her attitude: "Nothing is too hard if I keep trying."
