🎶 A rhythm-filled day to remember! 🎶
We were delighted to welcome Ollie Tunmer, founding member of the internationally acclaimed STOMP!, for a brilliant day of body percussion workshops.
From Year 3 through to Year 10, including our entire Secondary Pathway 3 cohort, students explored the art of making music in the most creative way – using their own bodies! From hands and feet to chests and voices, every student discovered how rhythm can come to life anywhere, anytime.
The energy was incredible. Through fun, fast-paced and interactive sessions, students built confidence, sharpened coordination, and strengthened teamwork, resulting in lots of excitement, inspiration, and a deeper appreciation for the power of rhythm.
Experiences like this bring learning to life – and we can’t wait for the next one! 🎵✨

Primary STEAM Days: Invent Together, Build for Wolfie! 🐺✨
What incredible days of creativity and teamwork across our Primary School! Students from Early Years to Year 6 came together for our STEAM Event, taking on the challenge: How can we help Wolfie feel welcome in our community?
Using recycled and everyday materials, students designed, built and tested a wide range of imaginative creations, from cosy homes to creative structures. It was fantastic to see such teamwork, resilience and problem-solving skills in action!
One of the best moments was watching students embrace the design process—testing ideas, making changes and improving their work. They also confidently shared their creations and celebrated each other during our showcase sessions. 👏
We are so proud of how our students demonstrated creativity, collaboration and our shared values of inclusion and belonging.
💙 A big thank you to our staff and families for supporting and supplying materials – your help made this day possible!

As we prepare to welcome a new cohort from Primary into Secondary in August 2026, our Year 6 students have been taking part in their Transition Days this week – an important and exciting step in their school journey.🌟
Through a range of engaging activities, including subject taster lessons and sessions on Secondary expectations, students gained valuable insight into Secondary School life while building confidence and independence.
We are incredibly proud of how positively and enthusiastically they embraced these experiences, demonstrating a strong readiness for the transition ahead.
A special thank you to our current Year 7 students, who served as outstanding ambassadors during the transition days. Having completed this journey themselves last year, they provided guidance and encouragement that made the experience meaningful and reassuring for our Year 6 students. 👏
Today, we look forward to our Parent Transition Workshop, where current Year 6 families will meet the Secondary team and discover how to support their children through this important milestone.
Together, these experiences are designed to ensure a smooth, confident move into Secondary School and to build a strong foundation for success.✨

We were delighted to welcome three teachers from the International School of Manila to Dover Court International School recently to learn more about our ASDAN provision.
During the visit, the group explored our range of ASDAN courses, including CoPE (Certificate of Personal Effectiveness), Towards Independence, and Short Courses. They also spent time viewing student portfolios and speaking directly with students about their learning experiences, achievements, and personal growth.
It was a fantastic opportunity to share best practices, celebrate our students’ hard work, and reflect on how ASDAN supports independence, confidence, and meaningful learning opportunities.
At Dover Court, we are proud to offer the UK-based ASDAN programmes – flexible, engaging routes that help students develop essential life skills such as communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and self-management, all while building confidence and resilience.
