๐Ÿ“ข CILT Buzz | September 2026: "Energy Supply Chain โ€“ Security & Resilience"

With Hormuz still constrained and conflict ongoing in Europe and the Middle East, energy security has moved from background risk to core business issue for logistics and transport. A clear signal: Singapore's MTI will be renamed the Ministry of Energy, Trade and Industry (METI) from 1 October 2026.

This issue traces how energy shocks ripple through shipping, aviation, land transport, warehousing and cold chains โ€” plus Singapore's power future (gas, solar, imports, nuclear), the Johorโ€“Singapore SEZ, and what resilience means for an island state.

Also inside: updates on the CILT International Convention 2026 (Hong Kong, 20โ€“24 Sept) and member highlights including the CSSCOM CPL Graduation and our PSB Academy talk on supply chain resilience.

Energy is no longer just a cost line โ€” it's core infrastructure, and increasingly, a core professional skill.
