📢CILT Buzz June 2026 : World Cup 2026 - Logistics and Transport Strategies
As the world prepares for the 2026 FIFA World Cup with 104 matches and an estimated 6 million visitors, the June 2026 edition of CILT Buzz explores the immense transport and logistics strategies behind delivering a global mega-event.
This issue examines key strategic themes shaping the future of transport and supply chain management:
âš½ Infrastructure & Capacity Scaling
How aviation, rail, cruise, and last-mile networks are being expanded to manage unprecedented demand — with relevant insights for Singapore’s future infrastructure planning.
âš½ Digital Operations & Cyber Governance
The growing role of AI-powered command centres, digital twins, and digital border clearance systems in enabling secure and seamless operations.
âš½ Sustainability & Network Resilience
Balancing mega-event operations with climate targets, while strengthening resilience against extreme weather, technical disruptions, and cyber threats.
Beyond sports, the World Cup serves as a real-world stress test for integrated transport systems, cross-border coordination, and resilient supply chain planning.
We invite our members and industry partners to explore how these lessons can help shape Singapore’s future-ready transport and logistics ecosystem.
