The atmosphere was nothing short of energetic & inspiring with our public speaking instructors engaging with the children, identifying strengths & highlighting areas for growth in an instant.

This open house event was filled with excitement featuring Spin the Wheel giveaways, fun activities & of course a chance for everyone to connect & see firsthand how public speaking can shape a child’s confidence & future. Parents were incredibly impressed seeing how quickly we understood each child’s potential giving them insight into the areas that can be improved.

Speech Academy Asia Upper Thomson grand opening is done & what a lion dance blessing it was! 🧧🥁🦁
A heartfelt thank you to every parent, child, friend, neighbour & partner who came by Speech Academy Asia Upper Thomson. The cheers, the cameras, the wide eyed kids, the drumbeat you could feel in your chest, it made the whole day feel truly auspicious.

The lion dance started with the drums, gong & cymbals setting the pace, then the lion entered to greet the doorway. It bowed, circled, inspected the space, then came the 点睛 moment to “awaken” the lion. After that, everything picked up. The lion came alive with sharp footwork, playful head shakes, big jumps, then the 采青 “plucking the greens” ritual to invite prosperity. The lion “took” the greens, “chewed” slowly for effect, then “spat” blessings back to the crowd, sharing good fortune with everyone watching.

Of course 财神爷 was there too, fanning the crowd, teasing the lion, leading it towards the greens like a VIP es**rt, making sure the energy stayed high from start to finish.
