10 ITE students completed their 20-week internship in TP School of Engineering -- working on R&D projects at our Centres of Excellence and getting the hands-on experience that all employers look for!

They received their certificates of completion from the Director Paul Yap at a ceremony on 19 Aug 2026.

Given by the Singapore International Facility Management Association (SIFMA), the award recognises the IFM course for its excellence in facilities management education and training, based on its mode of delivery, curriculum design, alignment with industry needs and professional development objectives, as well as its unique attributes and the methodologies adopted to ensure that the curriculum remains current and responsive to evolving industry demands.

Mr Patrick Phang, Course Chair of IFM diploma, said: “We are indeed honoured to win this award — it is testimony to the strong relevance of our diploma curriculum to industry needs, as well as an affirmation of our commitment to nurturing future-ready FM professionals.”

Huge CONGRATS to our Computer Engineering students for winning the Lee Hsien Loong IDM Smart Nation Award 2026!

Their winning invention -- an "Audio to Braille Translator" -- converts spoken English into Braille, via a series of solenoid-controlled rods that eject when magnetised, allowing visually impaired users to touch the rods, decipher the text, and communicate more independently.

Well done!! to the students, Dakshesh Nattaman, Koh Lee Yi Louis, and Tan Wenxing, and their Supervisor, Mr Kok Boon Kiong.

As part of SG61 and ENG35, over 100 TP Engineering students volunteered during the school's Flex Week to empower more than 200 seniors across 11 Active Ageing Centres, Community Centres, and Residential Centres with digital skills for daily living, since March 2026.

Led by our TP Engineering Student Ambassadors, who planned the workshops, coordinated volunteers, and facilitated the sessions, the programme saw students guiding seniors on how to use apps like TikTok and PicCollage, helping them build digital confidence while fostering meaningful intergenerational connections.

We are proud to play our part in the Digital for Life - Singapore movement, championing a more digitally inclusive Singapore where no one is left behind.

Exciting days ahead for Engineering students in Temasek Polytechnic (TP)!

They can now look forward to using and learning in a brand new industry grade electric vehicle academy on campus -- jointly set up by TP and Volt Auto, exclusive distributor of Dongfeng passenger vehicles in Singapore & Malaysia.

The new facility, called the TP-Volt Auto EV Academy, will also provide upskilling and curated training in electric vehicle technology for Volt Auto’s partners, customers and the public, in alignment with Singapore’s Land Transportation Industry Transformation Map.

The MOU was signed by Mr Soh Ming, Founder & CEO of Volt Auto Pte Ltd, and Mr Paul Yap, Director of TP’s School of Engineering, on 31 Jul 2026.

CONGRATS! to final year Mechatronics student Hiew Lap Xin for clinching 2nd place (Metrology category) of the Precision Engineering Competition held recently.

Contestants were tested on their accuracy in dimensional measurements and analyses on machined parts, technical handling of handheld metrology tools, as well as their understanding of measurement principles and techniques for industrial and laboratory settings.

Did you know that behind every smooth landing and on-time departure of a commercial flight, is a team of engineers who work diligently behind the scenes?

That's what our Year 1 and Year 2 Aerospace Engineering and Aerospace Electronics students found out when they went on a study trip to SIA Engineering Company (SIAEC) on 8 July 2026 -- gaining valuable insights into aircraft inspection, maintenance, operations and safety practices.

Such study trips allow our students to see their learning come to life in real industry scenarios. Thanks to SIAEC for making this possible!
