Chingay 2026 rehearsal. Wrong music. Oh well 😂

On a more serious note, Harper hasn’t been well. Not really eating or drinking. Took her out for some fresh air but didn’t let her walk.

Her facial swelling is quite bad. Am concerned it is affecting her breathing. Will be taking her to the vet tomorrow.

Poor Harper. Her face and eyes are swollen / puffy. I used to think it was the frog meat she was eating but we’ve stopped that for a while and her eyes recently started getting smaller again so I really have no idea what’s causing her allergic reaction 😞 Told her it’s ok, don’t need to be sad, she looks like a cute Sharpei face 😂

Harper isn’t well and didn’t want to eat. She couldn’t p*e for 17 hours. I couldn’t find her bladder cos her stomach was so gassy / jiggly. Finally managed to express her - what a relief. Really Hallelujah 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 was already thinking which vet to bring to, to insert urine catheter 😱

But she didn’t want to eat - needed lots of coaxing to eat 60gm. So maybe will skip her meals today and hope tomorrow will be a better day. 💪🏼

In the meantime, the basement dog is very greedy. She finished her food in the kitchen and ran out to wait and hope for more. 🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️ Look how strong & solid she’s become ❣️💪🏼💪🏼

Today Harper did a good job walking really far & well; the grass and the cement flooring provided good grip for her.

Sadly after dinner she started barking and fussing and becoming gassy again and couldn’t settle till 1230am. Poor poor Harper. Don’t ask me what triggered it - if I knew then I definitely will prevent it from recurring over and over again. 😞

Oh and I forgot to bring Waggly’s stroller so she had to be a basement dog.

People often tell me, after this dog passes, I never want another dog again. . . . That's something I cant understand. If you have the capacity, love, time, finances etc - why not?

Of course it is sad, we are all humans with feelings and emotions. But for me, my feelings are not important. All that matters is that I can make ONE dog smile and that is enough, knowing that that sweet little dog has experienced love & joy and will leave this planet happy & contented. Thats all that matters to me and I would do it over & over again.

We love our late night walks; peaceful, and the air is nice and cool. Harper was a bit bloated again so she walked pretty slowly but she did try her best, after lots of coaxing 😜 Then on the way home, she barked and fussed a bit. 😞

The last two days she’s been eating pork soft bones, I’m just wondering if that’s making her gassy. Tomorrow will change protein and see if she feels better.

Hope she’s tired enough to sleep through the night 🙏🏼🙏🏼 In the meantime, watch the sugar dumpling run!!
