The MSc in Financial Technology (MSFT) offers a 1-year full-time or 2-year part-time pathway across 3 trimesters. Courses are delivered in intensive 7-week blocks and held on weekday evenings (6:30 PM–10 PM) or Saturdays at NTU's main campus.

Intelligent Process Automation (IPA) – For the technical side of FinTech (coding, automation, AI)
Digital Financial Services (DFS) – For the strategic and managerial side of FinTech

Real-World Practicum
In Trimester 3, students take MH6838, a hands-on project or self-sourced internship, where they tackle real financial challenges under expert mentorship.

Our students have interned at: GIC, DBS, OCBC, UOB, Grab, Macquarie Bank, CIMB, Julius Baer and more.

Completion of 30 AUs with a minimum CGPA of 2.50

Course List｜MSc in Financial Technology: Your Path to FinTech Mastery

The MSc in FinTech Programme (MSFT) blends compulsory foundations with deep specialisation in either Intelligent Process Automation (IPA) or Digital Financial Services (DFS). You will complete 30 AU through a balanced mix of compulsory (12 AU) and elective courses (18 AU).

MH6800 Foundations of Statistical Modelling 1.5 AU
MH6803 Python Programming 1.5 AU
MH6804 Python for Data Analysis 1.5 AU
MH6805 Machine Learning in Finance 3 AU
MH6806 Principles of Finance and Risk Management 1.5 AU
MH6807 Introduction of Fintech Innovation and Ecosystem 3 AU

Prescribed Electives (12 AU):
Choose your track—IPA focuses on AI, blockchain, NLP and algorithmic trading, while DFS covers risk analytics, regulatory tech, sustainable finance and fintech entrepreneurship.

Unrestricted Elective Courses (6 AU):
MH6838 Practicum 3 AU

Courses are delivered in intensive 7-week (1.5 AU) or 14-week (3 AU) blocks, with weekly sessions of 3.5 teaching hours. Full-time students typically take 4 courses per week, while part-time students take 2.
