HCMC

Sorry for the late post, we ran into some major problems with the world file and we ended up with a older version of HCMC. Some of the buildings are incomplete and there may be a number of bugs present. Nevertheless, we have finally delivered and we hope that some of you may take up the challenge of completing HCI and sharing it with everyone.

OMG - 400 likes!!

After a yearlong journey of sleepless nights right before project judgings and various other setbacks, we have finally come to the end of Projects Day in which we obtained 2nd in grand finals today. For each of us, it is not just about the prize, but rather it is the invaluable experience that has gave us numerous takeaways that we will treasure for a long time.

Back when we first started this project, we set out with a mission to capture Hwa Chong's rich architectural heritage, and in doing so engage the Minecraft community. Today, we are overwhelmed by how far we have come, in terms of how much we have built in the world and the support that you, the HCMC community, gave. We hope that as we sign off, we can be sure that this legacy shall continue to live, and that more people can be motivated to work towards their passions, no matter what difficulties it may bring.

As usual, we would like to thank everyone listed below, as well as anyone else we may have missed who contributed in some way or another.
1) YOU, the community, who motivated us with your undying support to continue working hard to achieve our goals
2) Our mentor, Mr Yong Jong-Shyan, for his guidance
3) The school, which provided us with various opportunities to showcase and further develop HCMC
4) SUTD for their help in developing the cloud-based gaming system
5) Our group of HCMC builders, which helped us in building our world

Hi all,

We hope everyone did well and had a great time in today's Finals judging. As usual, we would like to thank everyone for your support (yay 270 likes) without which this project would not be successful.

In addition, we have also completed the Staffroom and Drama Centre, which you can view from the attached screenshots.

Finally, just a reminder that the HCMC builders application is still open for those who want to contribute and to experience the map before it is released. We hope that more people can join us now since the September holidays are just round the corner :D

Work in progress at Kah Kee Hall before the Finals this Friday!

Hi Guys,

As we all know, HCMC is a project that we hope to push out to the community. So before we launch the map publicly, we would like to give a chance to some Hwa Chong students to help us build.

In this closed test, students selected will be given exclusive builder rights to our server. They will be able to reconstruct HC in Minecraft and add their little personal touches to the map.

A builder will also have the following benefits:
- Names will be included in a special area of the map
- Credits on the future Planet Minecraft world download page
- Structures created by you will be featured on this very HCMC FB page
