‘The more I work with students in areas of growth mindset, self-confidence & personal leadership, the more I realize the important role that parents have to play in it - that new age parenting is a constant balance between understanding the human that has come from you and who has a lot of similarities with you but also recognising that this human is a whole different person from you, with ideas, thoughts and motivations that are beyond your comprehension.‘
I am Tanya - storyteller, educator and coach. I partner with children and youth to unravel their true passions, drives and strengths. I also coach parents in their own self discovery journey, which has a huge impact in their parenting style. A certified coach, I design programs, workshops & experiences for students to live a purposeful life and for parents to be better role models.

Parenting is hard, period.
Caring for a child is fulfilling, yet exhausting.
The best of individuals lose their patience with a child and over years with a pre-teen and then a teenager. But it doesn't have to be this way!
How can we connect with our kids better?
How can we make wiser parenting decisions?
How can we support our children in achieving their dreams?
This is how coaching can support parents in achieving the above and more. Coaching helps in -
1. Seeing a completely different perspective (your child's)
2. Identifying your triggers (and building ways of navigating them)
3. Sustaining change through accountability (by committing to different ways of being & behaving)

What is a boy to do when a lost penguin shows up at his door? Find out where it comes from, of course, and return it. But the journey to the South Pole is long and difficult in the boy’s rowboat. There are storms to brave and deep, dark nights. To pass the time, the boy tells the penguin stories. Finally, they arrive. Yet instead of being happy, both are sad. That’s when the boy realizes: The penguin hadn’t been lost, it had merely been lonely.
A poignant, funny, and child-friendly story about friendship lost . . . and then found again.

📘Book of the week - The Pout-Pout Fish
The only thing the pout pout fish knows is to how to be sad😟. What will it take to make him realise that he too can choose to be happy😃?
A book about the power of love & kindness and a reminder on what to do when someone we know is feeling sad.
This book creates the space to discuss emotions, especially the not-so-welcome ones in order to understand them better.
