Our Term 3 Science In Action! Recess Programme sparked curiosity and excitement as students explored the fascinating world of magnets through hands-on discovery. They enjoyed magnetic-themed games such as Reversi and Chess, investigated why ring magnets appear to “float” above one another, and examined magnets of various shapes and sizes. Through engaging experiments, students also identified materials with magnetic properties, deepening their understanding of magnetism through fun, interactive, and inquiry-based learning experiences. 🧲

What an unforgettable week of stories, imagination and reading at Qihua Primary School!

Students celebrated the joy of reading through Read for Books, interactive activities, book sharing, creative crafts, and our Book Character Dress-Up Day. It was wonderful to see students enthusiastically exploring books, sharing recommendations, and bringing their favourite stories to life.

A big thank you to our staff, parent volunteers, Library Ambassadors, and the entire Qihua community for making this celebration possible.

Qihuaians came together in a sea of red and white to celebrate Singapore’s 61st birthday with joy and pride! As we mark SG61, may we continue to care for one another and move forward together as one Singapore.

Our P5 students had an amazing time at the NE Show 2026, waving their flags high, singing familiar National Day songs, and joining thousands of Singaporeans in celebrating SG61.

More than just an evening of performances and celebration, it was a meaningful opportunity for our students to reflect on our Singapore story, celebrate how far we have come together, and look forward with hope to the future.

Here’s to cherishing our shared identity and continuing to build a brighter Singapore together. ❤️🤍

Learning came alive beyond the classroom as our Primary 4 students embarked on a Museum-Based Learning journey at the Kreta Ayer Heritage Gallery! 🇸🇬✨

From discovering the rich history of Chinatown to experiencing the captivating art of Chinese opera, puppet theatre and traditional musical instruments, our students explored the traditions and cultural practices that have shaped Singapore’s vibrant multicultural heritage.

We are truly honoured by Mdm Halimah Yacob’s generous encouragement. Thank you for inspiring our students and celebrating their efforts. ☺️

Small Steps, Big Dreams 🚀

We were deeply honoured to welcome our Guest-of-Honour, Chancellor of the Singapore University of Social Sciences, Mdm Halimah Yacob, to Qihua Primary School for this special celebration of learning and community.

A key highlight of the event was the launch of our student-authored book series, Growing Up with Halimah, where our students brought Mdm Halimah’s inspiring life story to life through their own voices. Her journey reminds us that setbacks and hardships do not define us—they shape us, strengthen us, and prepare us for greater things.

The celebrations continued with the student-led booths and booths by our valued community partners which transformed the school into a vibrant hub of creativity, innovation and discovery. Visitors also enjoyed captivating performances by our performing arts groups and had the opportunity to experience the joy of movement through our inclusive sports activities.

A heartfelt thank you to our partners, staff, students and families for making this a truly memorable day of inspiration, learning and joy. 💙
